Nothing makes me happier than a moment with good people. Over the weekend, I hosted a dinner that lasted several hours. Every meal was crafted in the kitchen, and I know others including my mother would not believe it when I say that I was the lead chef.

My life, my smile, my craziness— are all impacted by people I once never knew they existed. In these people I find the friendships that inspire, bring hope, define community, and more than anything it’s the humans that make me see the strength and beauty in each day of my life.

A summer ends, I look forward to a new season of slow mornings, hard-work, and deep presence with the people in my life.
