An unforgettable weekend traveling down to Eugene with so many friends, visiting the university and getting to see my old dorm, walking over the river and through the woods to the Spring Game, and setting a new Marathon PR! I’m so lucky to say I’m surrounded by the absolute best people – I was never alone during this race, including miles 18-22 with @themarshmalo & @ahleeshmarie and miles 22-26 with @heyitszotti ♥️ Already excited for next year!

Just one year ago, running a Boston-qualifying time seemed completely out of reach for me. I felt I’d reached my running peak, and the idea of running a sub-3 marathon seemed delusional, considering my best time was not close to the BQ time I needed (was about 25 minutes too slow - an eternity in running).

Alas, it’s amazing what can change in a year when you have the right people in your corner. The constant encouragement and support from the Portland running community (and beyond) empowered me in a way I could not have done myself. This became the challenge I needed, a goal that transcended running for me, because it wasn’t just about hitting the pace. It was choosing a goal I was genuinely afraid I might fail at, and showing up anyway. It changed how I view every other ‘delusional’ challenge in my life.

I’d love to sit here and say this is for the haters who didn’t believe in me. But it’s really quite the opposite - this BQ goal was made possible because of the people who did believe in me, even when I had doubts. I will never forget this amazing journey!

Still smiling thinking about our collab run with @omorpho ✨ The energy, the community, and the vibes were everything we love about showing up every Saturday. Seeing so many runners and walkers try the gear, connect, and have fun together made the morning such a success!

We also raffled off some smiles merch, coffee beans from @lepetitcafepdx and @themarshmalo & @alysiapdx BOTH won G-Vests from Omorpho!! 🤩

Huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this day so special! We seriously love our Omorpho fam and can’t wait for next time 🤗
