So why was I away??

I participated in the women’s modern duet choreography dance residency at @moulinbelleperigord - I was there to photograph the creative process as a way to expand my own experience as an artist and to be a part of the process as I record the process…everything was a rough draft..new ideas percolating..a time for trying new things with new people in an environment of openness.

I got to work with several women I had never met before including:

@angelazballet
@minawillis
@cmhowe1

and @yang_sun47 whom I had known in NYC.

It was a fun and beautiful time…it got me out of my usual schedule and activities…as an empty- nester..I had the time to explore…additionally it was a gateway to visit old and kind friends who live in Europe… I am so lucky and honored to live this sweet life!

I’m coming home today! See you in Brooklyn this weekend at the #cityofforestday event at 6/15 Green at 1pm for @andrea_haenggi 💚🌳 by @julemberger

In 1957 #pablopicasso painted more than 45 iterations of #diegovelazquez ‘s #lasmeninas - today I saw them for the first time at @museupicasso in Barcelona. They have never come to NYC as a group. I was amazed by the tour de force- the creativity the artist investigated …seemed limitless!

I tried to buy a book that displayed each image- but it not available…or doesn’t exist.

Here’s a small sample. by @julemberger
