As @torontotempo played the last game of their inaugural season tonight, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey with this franchise and having the privilege of cheering our hearts out for them at every home game.

If you’ve been to a Tempo game, you’ll know there is something different in the air there. We cheer for every three-pointer like it’s the finals. We stand, we hug strangers, we buy an obscene amount of merch that we wear proudly in our day-to-day lives and we will ride at dawn for every player on that court. We are so proud of them and are damn grateful that we have a team. Because Toronto is a basketball city and we were so ready for a women’s team. Here’s to closing the chapter on our first year and we can’t wait for year 2!

Knoxy’s first Tempo game was historic, both for him and because it was our last home game of the season 😭. Thank you @brittbundlez and @marinamabrey for making him feel pretty damn special! ❤️ taken in Coca-Cola Coliseum by @jules_sheldon

Last weekend @lindsaybwaugh and I had an unforgettable weekend with the Governor General Performing Arts Awards. A client that started with a social strategy and led to us capturing the award weekend. 7 incredible Canadians received the highest honour in the performing arts, handed out by the Governor General herself. It was an honour to be there, to meet these amazing artists in their field, and to capture all of it. Check out all of the great footage that the talented @jmjaner and her team created at @ggpaa_pggas taken in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada by @jules_sheldon

@tempoprez said it perfectly tonight…cheers to making history. And tonight was truly historic. But more than that, it was the start of a huge movement in this city. In this country. The energy in the @cocacola_coliseum was electric. It was playoff-level energy. And the iconic Canadians who showed up to support were amazing! Raptors, Sceptres, AFC, Olympians, Hollywood. What a night and can’t wait to see what the season entails. Biggest cheers to the @torontotempo (players and corporate) who gave their blood, sweat and tears to make tonight what it was! taken in Coca-Cola Coliseum by @jules_sheldon

Before the Bounce: tonight the @torontotempo became real. The court was unveiled, the dance pack hit the floor for the first time, we met Canada’s @kianurse and followers became real life fans. For the unforgettable year that @lindsaybwaugh and I had the honour of working with this team, it felt like a distant dream until tonight. Can’t wait for tip-off on May 8th!
