IM A FINALIST for the ARCHIBALD PRIZE!!

I have so many photos and videos to show you from the Archibald I have no idea where to start!?

These were some from the artists lunch. @juliadoverart #archibald #establishedartist #sydneyartist by @juliadoverart

I was interviewed by channel 9 at the official opening night of the Archibald.
With all the answers I gave these were the only 8? 9? 10? words that made sense. Winning!

Why did the artist carry a 500,000 metre wire reel through Ku Ring Gai National Park?

To install a psychedelic Australian Death Adder in drag with sunflower eyes, substituting its botox lips as a nest for baby galahs made of recycled thongs. Obviously?!

If you’re not into art then enjoy the ASMR.

No, I don’t have a busy mind.

Throwback to when the newspaper was doing an article on me and suddenly the photographer got down on two knee’s and asked me to marry him.

What do you get when you cross an old thong and pink spray paint?

A baby galah of course!

There’s a whole lot more of these pink bubbas going into my latest sculpture.
Well, into the mouth of my latest sculpture ‘FLATIMA’
STAY TUNED for more!
It’ll be on exhibition at @kuringgai_council by @juliadoverart

I went to an Archie party recently.

I was trying to get some B roll but this random chick insisted we be in the videos together.

Turns out we have the same retainer and she can walk like an Egyptian.

PS. I totes got papped.

To have the honour of meeting @ahmedalahmedh .
The chance to give him a warm hug then realise I’ve wrapped my arm around the shoulder he recently had 5 bullets shot in.

Awkwardly turning it into a casual pat on the shoulder. Before welcoming him and his family into my home as my excited Labrador runs up to greet him with my husbands undies.

I was still given the opportunity to paint this heroic man’s portrait for the Archibald.

The softly spoken humble, ambience of the ‘Bondi Hero’ was a moment I’d never forget until I got flustered and started apologising for the rough sketches I drew of him.

Today with my hair unbrushed and a grumpy father driving me into the city I dropped my artwork off at the @artgalleryofnsw
Wish me luck!

THE END.

You can add leather smith to my resume, now!

With absolutely no idea- just the way I like it!
I started teaching myself how to work with leather.

This is the first collar I’ve made; check out the skills! I’m obviously a genius!
