Looking for a witchy read? This is the book you’ve been waiting for—SILENCE: historical fiction about a Puritan woman sentenced to a year of silence for speaking aloud in church. Based on the ancestor of the author (me!) — named one of the 100 BEST INDIE BOOKS of 2024 by Kirkus Reviews. Starred review!
Witchy spooky romance, with bees, a female apothecary, a handsome doctor on a black horse, an MC who does not speak, and a witch trial where she cannot defend herself without breaking her silence. 🧙🏻‍♀️🐝🐎🪶💔🔥

I am delighted to announce that I am a recipient of the 2026-27 California Upstate Individual Artist Fellowship, as an Established Artist. It comes with prize money and everything. I'll be talking about this throughout the year, and I could not be more honored.

Ermagahd. The COW full page ad right inside the current Poet and Writers magazine has my photo in it. That’s from when I went back as an alum in 2024 as part of the evening reading series. Thank you, thank you very much. I’m tickled pink (and also bald from just finishing chemo just then). 🩷✍🏻 👩🏻‍🦲🤠 taken in Palisades Tahoe by @juliaparktracey

I had a glorious time yesterday in San Francisco on a panel at LitQuake. Excellent questions about social media and how to keep your book alive after the launch. Remember: it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

I can absolutely appreciate the beauty of autumn, but I have been sad the last week, holding onto the last days of summer. I am perpetually nostalgic, even in anticipation. Perhaps nostalgia is the flavor of the season. Liminality, anyone? by @juliaparktracey

I cannot speak highly enough about the three books in this series: WOLF HALL, BRING OUT THE BODIES, and THE MIRROR AND THE LIGHT. Hilary Mantel is a historian with so much poetry and knowledge in every tale. Narrator Ben Miles, an actor with the Royal Shakespeare Co., brings Thomas Cromwell and the whole Tudor court to life. What an incredible journey. #tudor #henryv111 #audiobook #shakespeare #dramatic by @juliaparktracey

At the urgent care with Willoughby. He has a bad cold, passed from Elwood, who recovered quickly. Willie is super congested. He has a heart murmur so I take extra care of him. Poor little 🐈‍⬛. 😭
