I want to express my fervent appreciation for having the most beautiful family and friends who continue to light up my life in ways that bring the most joyful tears to my eyes ❣️

Seeing my sister for the first time in over 15 years (we talk regularly online) reminds me that life can beautifully intertwine two hearts that may have grown up miles apart but NEVER dims the light of our ever-so-cherished relationship (even though you did let me get lost in that mirror maze 😂 😆)

I Saw Her Today;
It was on a Saturday in my favorite San Francisco cafe
When I looked up from my book and felt all the laws of gravity and reality freeze momentarily
For the woman within my gaze looked just like my mother
I wonder what rich history lived behind her smile lines
My heart fluttered as I studied the similarities; from her hands
The way they danced across her screen
The way her thinning grey hair was wrapped in the same bun I once helped style with my mom
The calm that excites and encapsulates my mind to soak up every second of this moment

For it was on a Saturday
In a San Francisco cafe
That I saw, to my personal belief, a version of my mother that could've, should've and would've been
However with the recent embrace of acceptance
I looked to the sky and said
