Adam Resnick and I have been friends for (gulp) 40 years. We met on Late Night with David Letterman and bonded over Peanuts and our love of dogs.
I was delighted when he agreed (I had his arm twisted so hard behind his back he was almost crying) to do a Q&A for my Substack. Link in bio and stories. by @julieklam

Mt. Sinai capitulated to the DOJ and stopped gender affirming care for kids and it keeps getting worse! Families are suffering and Mt. Sinai should be ashamed. HONOR YOUR OATH! DO NO HARM! So good to see everyone out protesting this terrible decision! @genderlib, @actupny , @transsafetyalliancenyc @nyc_molgbtqia @risenresistnyc 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️ taken in Mount Sinai Hospital by @julieklam

Yesterday was a terrifically successful display of trans joy at the Liberty game. As much as it hurts my heart to see the hate, it lifts me up to see our wonderful community join together. Trans people belong in sports! Trans people belong everywhere! 🏳️‍⚧️🩵💖🤍 taken in Barclays Center by @julieklam

Trans people belong in sports, trans people belong in our communities, trans people belong 🏀🩵🤍💕 Whether you’re in the stands, at a bar, or on your couch, show up for your trans siblings, and let the world know that EQUALITY MEANS INCLUSION, and TRANS FANS FILL YOUR STANDS!
Join us outside Barclays Center on 8/22 from 4:30-7:30 before the NY Liberty vs. Indiana Fever game; we’ll have bubbles, zines, games, flags, and big signs to show everyone our LIBERTY PRIDE!
This is about LOVE, education, and showing up for our trans siblings. Come ready to celebrate. #TransJoy #TransPeopleBelong #EqualityMeansInclusion by @julieklam

Last night Dan and I saw the Director’s Cut of @gypsy83movie with the director, Todd Stephens. Todd was also David’s thesis advisor and we all adore him. The movie was incredibly fun, funny, heartwarming and filled with the best music (The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, Ministry, Cocteau Twins, etc.). And it featured a stunning perfomance by the Karen Black! Following the screening Todd and some cast members held a delightful Q & A. Gypsy 83 is rolling out all over the country — see it!! That’s an order! taken in Quad Cinema by @julieklam
