Hello 👋 I’m Juliet, a watercolor artist based in my hometown New Orleans, LA. It’s been a good while since I’ve shared an intro and an update! Here is more about me and what I do:

🌷I paint lots of flowers
🎨I use mostly watercolor, but dabble in acrylic, oil, and paper collage
🌸I also create designs for products through art licensing with my agent @wainsworldlicensing
👀 You can find my licensed stationery, accessories, home decor and more in stores all over the country
🖼️ I have my own shop at shop.julietmeeks.com with art prints and originals
🧑‍🎨I teach artists how to license their art, too, over at @licensingforartists
📚I love to read, mostly romance novels

Mixing materials can end up with fun, unexpected results. You don’t need to worry about the end result when trying something new - just play with it and use what you learn for next time!

I’m currently reorganizing my studio to set up a recording area for painting videos/lessons again! It’s a process, but I’m looking forward to sharing online lessons again. I’ll have a free one coming out this fall as part of a larger event, with plans to expand my class library in 2027. I am loving looking back at everyone’s evolution since 2016! That was a big year for my business and art. I finished the 100 Day project and was painting regularly, published my first ever online class, opened my online shop, sold my products at local events, started licensing my art and collaborating with my art more regularly (before I did mostly graphic design), and so much more. I’m so grateful to my past self with sticking with my art business, even when it was hard or slow-growing 🤗

Just upgraded my phone after a few years and ordered this pattern as my new case 🌸 This one is part of a Valentine’s Day collection I designed earlier this year. Working on opening my Casetify store again, too! I’ll update when it’s back up with all new designs 🙌 by @julietmeeksdesign

These line-drawn florals have made their way across a variety of goodies! From a @spoonflower wallpaper accent wall in my (old) studio (where there is now an antique fireplace mantel), to agendas, notebooks, a dry erase board and more to come. I love to draw and have been incorporating more of it into my artwork. Mixing drawing and painting together is one of my favorite styles! 🌸
