PEOPLE OF TULUM | EPISODE 1: RACHEL HUGENSCHMIDT

Some people come to Tulum for its beauty. Others fall in love with it so deeply that they become part of shaping what makes it special.

Meet Rachel Hugenschmidt, founder of @JungleLuxeMX, a Tulum-based interior design, construction, and property management company.

Rachel fell in love with Tulum’s distinctive aesthetic. The organic architecture, natural materials, earthy textures, and beautiful connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Today, through Jungle Luxe, she’s helping preserve and shape the design aesthetic that has made Tulum architecture and interior design recognizable around the world.

But her connection to Tulum goes far beyond design.

There’s something about living in Tulum that teaches you to luxuriate in the slowness of life here.

To appreciate the little moments. To reconnect with nature. To discover that sometimes, the greatest luxury is simply having the time to enjoy life.

And that’s part of what makes this place so special.

People of Tulum is a series celebrating the people, entrepreneurs, and creatives who have fallen in love with this destination and are contributing to what makes it extraordinary.

AHA Fuego

When traveling with your favorite people, outstanding design isn’t just about how a space looks, it’s about how effortlessly it brings everyone together.

This 3-bedroom sanctuary was purpose-built for group escapes, balancing bold architectural lines with the lush, raw energy of the Mayan jungle. Soaring ceilings, organic chukum plaster, and sweeping glass walls frame dense tropical greenery from every angle, blurring the line between your living room and the wild canopy outside.

Spend your mornings sipping fresh coffee as sunlight filters through the palms, gather for long afternoons by the pool, and let our white-glove concierge team handle every detail behind the scenes.

The Space & Experience:

* 3 Private Suites: Generously proportioned with en-suite bathrooms, giving every guest their own quiet space.

* Outstanding Spatial Flow: An expansive open-concept living area and chef’s kitchen designed for effortless entertaining.

* Lush Jungle Views: Secluded terraces, and sunlit lounges surrounded by vibrant tropical foliage.

* Unhurried Hospitality: In-villa private chef dinners, pre-arrival fridge stocking, and VIP beach club reservations handled seamlessly via WhatsApp.

Gather your inner circle and step into a stay where space, privacy, and luxury align.
