Don’t tell your friends about your business idea, not beucase they will steal, but because they won’t tell you why it’s wrong.

I learned this lesson during building my second startup, they call it the mom test, it’s the art of not asking leading questiions that confirm your idea is good.

You need to find out why it’s bad so you can build it to resist failure. by @junior.makame

Chasing funding when you start a business is a proves you don’t know how to build a business.

There is lots of progress you can make with no money.

Once you are making money FIRST or at least HYPE then investors want in also.

B players don’t help you directly scale fast. They help you do what you are currently doing.

That’s not growth. (Unless they free up your time to focus on growth)

You need A players to reach new hights fastest though.

I learned that after growing my team to 30 people.

If you can mostly hire A players, your job will be a whole lot easier. by @junior.makame

This video was never meant to be posted. It was a message to my future self to always stay faithful. But I felt convicted to post it here.

I used to live in a council flat with my mom and sister. One bedroom, rice cooker, couldn’t afford to get hot water for a year cause the system was broken.

I saw my mom count how many coins we had outside of McDonald’s so we could buy some fries (a luxury back then)

We struggled.

Fast forward to now, 20 years old. God has blessed me beyond measure.

Multi million dollar business, travel freedom, 5 countries this year so far, and moving to Miami.

I’m sharing this to inspire. To show you how God got me to go from lowest in the food chain, to building the NO. 1 music marketing agency in the world.

Do not quite.

But also, do not be easy on yourself. If God has given you the plan, and you are not executing on it relentlessly then you do t have faith.

When God see’s you work hard with the small farm you are on, he will bless you with more and more fruit and a bigger land. You just have to prove yourself on the farm you are on first.

Leave the UK if you want your startup to win.

This was a post I wrote 6 months ago when I was doing 50k/m at 19, and just landed in San Fran:

Holy crap. I just I landed in SF and the people I’ve met, I feel broke making $50k/m at 19...

The agency here, compared to the UK, is a joke.

In the UK, it’s “What week are you available?”

Over here, it’s “What time are you available?”

You need to build better reference points as an entrepreneur to set the pace. This is the place. by @junior.makame
