I went back to the Academy of Natural Sciences today for one last walkaround. It was quite busy at 11am. I thought I’d be more sad but I was just feeling angry. And I’ve come to learn that the 19th-century building isn’t historically registered. It’s all just a huge shame and a waste. I guess the okapi are my favorite, and the deinonychus statue out front. by @junkieluv

We missed the Mining Museum in Butte, but Montana Tech’s Geology department has a really cool mineral museum, so we toured that ad consolation. So many specimens! They a UV dark room, a precious metal safe, and a cave bear skeleton. I picked up this pyrite sun. by @junkieluv
