First time at Sensommar Filmfest. Ended up loving pretty much everything about it. Reposaari felt almost made for a festival like this, with its old wooden houses, seaside surroundings and venues full of character. Loved the aesthetics and how much thought the people behind the festival had put into every little detail. A well-curated selection of films and most of all, lovely people. A perfect way to let summer linger just a little longer, and a weekend I’ll be reminiscing about for quite some time. A huge thank you to everyone who made this little dream of a film festival a reality 📽️🌻🌊

The Archipelago Trail is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, so it felt like the perfect excuse to finally ride it. We were lucky to have the weather on our side as we cruised through the Turku Archipelago, covering around 250 km on our gravel bikes. Beautiful views from the bridges, charming yellow ferries, and peaceful coastal roads made every stretch enjoyable. There are plenty of guesthouses, restaurants, and cafés along the route, making it necessary to take breaks and enjoy the surroundings. To name a few of my favorites: the cardamom bun at Kafé Skräddars, the charcoal-grilled burger at Båthuset, a GT at the newly opened Nagu Distillery, the blueberry ice cream at Glasshållplatsen, and the munkki at Kustavin Savipaja. 🚴🛟🌞

I’ve been planning a visit to Jussarö in Ekenäs Archipelago National Park for several years, so it was great to finally make it happen. It’s an easy day trip, with regular cruises departing from Ekenäs, and there’s plenty to explore. My favorite spot was the beautiful cliffs south of “Iron Beach”, which are the perfect place for a swim and a cinnamon bun that you can pick up from the island café Ön. I can also recommend their fish soup 🌊🌿🌞

So I finally bought a camera after being without one for years. The timing was perfect, as I got to take it to Ramsholmen in Ekenäs just as the wood anemones were in full bloom.

It’s magical all year round, but if you haven’t been, I highly recommend a visit in early May when the forest floor turns white with flowers.

And if possible, bring your mom for Mother’s Day 🌿🤍
