Liquid walls 〰️ ✨In 2016, I bought an underwater housing for my iPhone to document days in and under water.

It turned out that under water all the camera adjustments, including focus, went blank.
It was impossible to control the outcome.
I felt pretty disappointed.

The whole experience became much like using a good old disposable camera - playing around without any promise of a result.

Now, years later, I truly appreciate the vibe of these snaps.
Shifting focus, flares of sun and splashes of saltwater on the lens feel like an integral part of the story now.

These frames carry a special feeling for me in them. ✨

The eager of paddling out - when the nose of a surfboard touches the crest of a forming wave and all of a sudden, the air is full of tiny diamonds sparkling around.

The excitment of blue, liquid walls approaching and the trial to read their movement to adjust oneself in the right position.

The magic of becoming one with the undeniable force of the ocean when catching a wave - and many times, being only humbled by the untamable power of it.

The lull between the sets of waves.
When the ocean seems to solidify and its movement slows down like oil.

The look out to the horizon, when the line between ocean and sky is visible only by the glimmers painted by the burning hot sun.

Some memories feel visceral ✨

2016 | Little did I know that a year can shift and shape a being so profoundly ✨
To be more accurate, it wasn’t the year. It was the place. Australia.

I’m 99,9 % certain that I wouldn’t be where I am now if I would have blinked and skipped that year and the experiences it offered.

The perspective shift wasn’t only about the highlights like swimming with wild dolphins, living by the sea, feeling the urban vibrance of Naarm-Melbourne and landing into surf lifestyle on southern Kombumerri-Gold Coast.

The most profound inner shift was stirred into movement by witnessing so many different ways of living.
And definitely by spending such a big share of our days in pure awe of nature.
That is the beauty that reveals itself when it is possible to find some rootedness by spending a longer period in one place ✨

Without that year I guess I wouldn’t be in this moment as it is: living in a small coastal town, weaving together sustainability, business and communications - and yoga - as an entrepreneur and loving nature so profoundly.

We truly are a collection of every experience we’ve had in our lives. 💫

2016 was transformative in so many ways. As everything has its time and place and life tends to be in constant movement, I’m eager to see what 2026 holds 🌀✨

Mainettaan parempi marraskuu 😌✨

Muita sekalaisia havaintoja:
🍝 Arki-illan ravintoladeitit best, näihin @goosepastabar toimii aina
🕯️Oon fiilistellyt old school yksinkertaisuutta: @bageri_o aamiainen oli jotenkin tän fiilistelyn huipentuma
🕯️ @the_alley_helsinki low key/casual bistrovibat 🫶
🧖‍♀️ Life hack hotelliaamuihin: huone kylpyammeella, late checkout, hyvä jazz soimaan ja uppoutuminen kylpyyn 🫧

Midsummer was magical 💫🌞🌊🌾🍓🌸
I’ve fallen deeply in love with these soft northern beaches framed by shadows of pine trees. 🌲⛺️

(and the luxury of spending 48+ hours fully outdoors 😍)

10 years (+ 1 week) since we met and I’m still hopelessly in love 😍🤍🙈💫

10 reasons out of gazillions:
🤍 Your visual eye and way to see cool stuff
🤍 Your love for music and tendency to put a record on at home. Also to buy at least one LP wherever we go
🤍 Your love for good coffee & interest in wines
🤍 Your way to spot a chance for eating a hot dog
🤍 Your gardening skills aka watering our plants when I forget to
🤍 Your skill to make everything into a game
🤍 Your love for books and amazing skill to prioritize time for reading
🤍 You know when to go to sleep
🤍 Your ocean eyes
🤍 That you’re the reason I still have a contact with reality and read Talouselämä & Arvopaperi

You’re my rock and my buoy and being with you brings me immense joy 😍

Tack älskling för att du är du 🤍✨

On circumstances like this, it comes more important than ever to focus on what we have instead on the things we don’t. 🙏💫 One thing we still have access to is nature 💛
Immersing oneself in nature has even science backed health benefits.
✨ Already 20 minutes in natural surroundings is shown to lower down stress levels and lift up the mood.
✨ Combined with a brisk walk, you can double up the benefits with a nice flow of endorphins 💫
Today is the international day of forests. That means I’m celebrating and spending some quality time outdoors. 💛
