ATTENTION BLACK MOTHERS: I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a Doctor of Education degree within the Community and Care Department at Liberty University.

The purpose of my research is to better understand the motherhood experiences of Black mothers whose children were conceived through rape or sexual assault. To participate, you must be 18 or older, Black or African American, born and raised in the United States, carried and delivered a pregnancy conceived through rape or sexual assault to full-term, and raising/raised a child conceived through rape or sexual assault. Participants will be asked to take part in a one-on-one, video-recorded interview that should take about an hour to complete, but may be shorter or longer based on your response. Participants will also be asked to submit any diaries, blogs, vlogs, and text and audio memos they believe can help describe their motherhood experience (10 minutes). Submitting these documents is completely optional. You will also be asked to review your interview transcript to ensure accuracy. If you are interested and eligible, please click the link at the end of this post or scan the QR code to learn more and to schedule an interview. If you choose to participate and are selected, consent information will be emailed to you one week before the interview. You will need to sign and return it by the time of the interview.
