This was last weekend when all I did was wake up at 4:45 and went for bird survey around Pondicherry. I cannot define in words how awesome it was to meet so many birders and see many more birds. For the first time ever there were others just as excited as me to see a bird.

First day: one of the best things I’ve seen in bird watching was to spot a flock of around 50 tricoloured munias where the bird was considered uncommon. And ofcourse we were too busy looking at them to take a picture.

Day 2: walked in the paddy fields barefoot. It was definitely an experience! I also learned how to use the ebird app. I’m an expert birder now y’all.

Day 3: The constant habitat change with paddy fields, water bodies and marshes. Also found sooo many things to collect on this day.

Day 4: Best for last, saw a pied cuckoo and i jumped with joy!!!! Why? Coz there is a myth in maharashtra which says this bird keeps its beak open to drink from the first rain of the monsoon. Ofcourse it’s a myth but i seriously felt star struck seeing it!!!

Thats it from this bird nerd. See you all next time i go birding.

I’m back after a month’s break. Hopefully in full swing. Sketched in the rickshaw for the first time in Bangalore. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t tried that before. Also turned my sketchbook into a travel journal with random receipts, tickets and notes. That’s definitely helped in overcoming my artist’s block. I think I am almost there and hopefully will start sketching more regularly.

Thanks @shadesofkumari for taking me on a sketch and shopping date. ♥️

Made this cute little trinket dish during a clay day with @chimicooks . I rarely make things for fun without thinking about selling it as a product. But it was so relaxing to build something without an end goal. The worry stone truly made me loose worries but while making it more than while using it after completion.

I am so excited to play with clay more often. What should I try making next? Comment below…
