Top to bottom, bell to bell; these games left an impression on the world and my family. In a world divided all I’m deeply grateful for these moments and to be able to experience them with my blood family as well the transformational @paralympics family.

It’s been a few days since the caldron was extinguished and the games called to close, and I’m still at loss for words as to how to describe the magnitude and impact of these games. The warmth and hospitality of our Italian friends, to the incredible and breathtaking performances of the athletes, and of course, the many delicious meals; food is love and memory.

FULL PULL: it was a BIG day @paralympics today. In my opinion DH is one of the greatest showcases of skill and courage; the athletes took full advantage of the venue and put on a great performance. So hyped to see my old coache @lassetheswede son @kalle__eriksson show the world the power of the human spirit through grit and grace.

FULL CIRCLE: it’s been 22 years since I broke my back, 12 years since my last podium performance @paralympics - being able to witness to the madness, pure performance and evolution of sport in the company of my family, friends, mentors, former teammates and coaches was a blessing that could only be matched by the majesty of the mighty Dolomites that entrenched the day.

Having the privilege to be able to present the medals to my former teammate @oatwayk 🇨🇦 the rising star @no_leg_nelis 🇳🇱 and the great Norseman @jesper.sp 🇳🇴was surreal, emotional and felt like a gift, a sort of homecoming from above…

I’ve dedicated my life to sport because of what it makes possible: the lessons learned beyond the ordinary, the clarity found at the summit, and the joy of watching others realize their potential.

I’ve arrived in Italy for the Paralympic Games with one purpose: to amplify the athletes. As a member of the IPC Governing Board, it is my privilege to help ensure these stories are seen, heard, and honored.

I’m inspired by the legacy being built @paralympics movement, a world where sport is truly accessible and transformative.

I’ll be sharing moments from the venues, ceremonies, and conversations over the coming days. Stay tuned…

Paris Vibes, Paralympic Dreams 🇫🇷

From Paris With Love! Highlights from our time in the City of Lights, where the energy was electric and the Persians lit up the stage for the athletes to shine.

Incredible Venues! We felt the magic unfold in arenas filled with history and heart. We witnessed athletes rise to the occasion, leaving their mark on the world stage. We saw Champions Crowned! I am profoundly grateful to have represented the @paralympics Athletes’ Council, supporting the athletes and the Governing Board during the countless and unforgettable moments.

Medal Moments! 🥇 Delivering medals and sharing in the triumphs of these extraordinary athletes was a true highlight. This was the ultimate celebration of human potential, memories that I will cherish in my heart for eternity.

The Games may be over, but the inspiration lives on. As Andrew Parsons said, “Change starts with sport.” We witnessed a movement that will transform the world through inclusion and excellence. MORE THAN A BIKE

My Bowhead allows me to exercise my imagination and express myself; as a father and an old man who still likes to play like a kid. Being wild in nature is not just fun; it’s a way of life and has been in my family for generations.
