Experience New Orleans like never before! This hour and as half long walk will enrich your love and appreciation of one this land's oldest trade gounds! With stories of precolonial indigenous life to modern day cultural influences, your guide, Flowers, brings this hidden history to life!

The Walk
A Rundown
Starting at the Bienville monument, the walk covers iconic histories and landmarks long overlooked by the mainstream. Topics include: precolonial queerness, oral traditions, historical black indigeneity, and more!
Walks typically last between an hour and an hour and a half, a perfect addition to your trip, conference or weekend! And booking is as easy as a message.

The Guide
Flowers (she/her)
Flowers is a proud member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. She was born and raised on the Pearl River Choctaw Reservation in East-Central Mississippi. Bulbancha has been her home for over a decade, and for almost 5 years, these walks have been one of the great joys in her life. She is also Chahta Hattukiklana in the transfemme traditions of her people.

Individual/public group rates: FREE! Flowers is dedicated to the accessibility of information. Tips and donations are appreciated but never required or expected Org affiliated group rates: Budget based rates!

Plz buy my dont dream it’s over tshirts! The message is a hopeful one, and purchasing them ensures that I can keep the lights on and water running at The Rez, which is a tentative name for my little house in the 7th ward. It also helps keep my little kitty, Bodega, fed and with kitty litter. The Rez provides housing not just for me and Bo but other QTBI folx in need of housing/studio space as well. I had the extreme honor to be in this show with some AMAZING artists showing INCREDIBLE VULNERABLY and SKILL and TALENT and I could not be happier. Between the move, work, and markets I only got to the gallery for the last hour of the showing but it was one of the best and wonderful validating hours of me.

Someone has bought me a house. Ive been sitting on this for the past couple months out of fear of fucking it all up, but we close on the house this Friday. These past weeks have been wild as the realness of it has been setting in. This was never a real possibility for me and all of sudden here it is.
LANDBACK but also HELLA responsibility and paperwork and anxieties I have not been prepared for. Thankfully my gracious benefactor has been so supportive and present thru this whole process but I am one of many. Once the dust settles, it’s all up to me so I am asking for advice, lines on queer/poc handyfolx, help moving, etc. I am overjoyed and also overwhelmed and I am most importantly looking forward to continuing my journey with this community and building a space where chukkachaffa, kinfolk, relatives are welcome and celebrated. If you’ve ever lived in a tourist town, you know how dismal the off season can be for artists and vendors, especially those of us who can’t leave the city for greener cash-tures. No markets, no money. Too hot for walks, no money. Hence this sale. Not only am I lowering prices on these chainmail bracelets, my new chain link rings are, for a small window, only 15. Once they go to market, they’re gunna be at least 20 if not 25.
