Tada! First look teaser for what VARtv will be broadcasting starting September 18th. So many great submissions so far and more teasers to come. There’s still plenty of room at the inn for more fun art and music videos and docs and short films etc etc and if you aren’t a maker but want to watch, sign up! Once VAR covers operational costs contributors get paid, but in the mean time we are just gonna keep doing it anyway, you know because this is a hoot and half. Artists featured in this first teaser are @roach.motel_ @justflowers444 @laweez8 @dadwoman and me as max headroom.

‘Hello my name is Mel and my country is being bombed…’

The perfect way to show up for the queer community this Pride month, on Saturday the 27th, from 6 PM - 12 AM.

This is a fundraiser for Mel.

Mel is an Iranian, queer, disabled poet and artist based in New Orleans who works with children. They have been experiencing seizures since forced conversion therapy in their youth and surviving genocide. This year, since the bombings in Iran started, their seizures and chronic health issues have gotten worse and more frequent. The American medical system has failed and gaslit them continuously. They are not eligible for disability aid because they aren’t qualified as “disabled enough.”

We are asking the community for support so they can work part time rather than full time without additional stress while they HEAL.

Fundraiser show ft Mel themself, @mack_ninee , @daydreammedusa , @justflowers444 , and @lyladipaulmusic . Located at the Neutral Ground Coffeehouse on June 27th.

See you there! 🧿📿
