I decided to quit being lazy and finally do this sole swap on these ‘95 Jordan 2s. They were DS and I’ve never successfully done a sole swap for a newer sole. I had to drill down that 2022 sole a lot to make these fit. The upper is a size 9.5 and the donor soles were an 8.5 (kind of crazy I had to size down a whole size to get them close) Sneaker restoration is just a hobby of mine and these weren’t perfect but I’m learning to be OK with that 🫡🙏🏽Also kind of cool that these complete the set of the first official 1994/1995 AJ1-3 “Retros” in my collection. by @justforkicksbattles

In 2005, @common partnered with a celebrity design team Krispy Klean to release 100 custom pairs of Nike SB Dunks. The sneaker drop coincided with the release of his Grammy nominated album Be. Definitely excited to own such a rare piece of sneaker history that also taps into my love for Hip-Hop. by @justforkicksbattles

I’ve loved sneakers as far back as I can remember. I used to steal my stepdad’s Eastbay magazines and take them to elementary school. During recess me and my friends would look through the pages and circle the shoes we wanted to buy when we grew up. I still have my sketchbook from 4th grade where I would draw cartoon characters wearing jays or randomly sketch sneakers that I thought were cool. I think one of the pictures I made was a fusion between Nike Shox and Air Jordan 9s lol. Sneakers was the reason I got my first internship out of high school. I interviewed with Comcast and they asked me if I had any sales experience (at 17 years old). I basically walked them through how I bought, sold and traded sneakers on Facebook and they were thoroughly impressed. The concept of resale wasn’t a thing back then. People ask me, “Why did you build Just For Kicks?” It gives me an outlet. I get the chance to connect with people all over the world, who share a common interest. An interest that has molded me to be the person I am today. P.S. Submissions open this week for our final tournament of 2025.
