A lot of my “girl boss” job is stuff I can’t really share. 🤐 HR can be a lonely job sometimes because of all the things.

But then there are the bright spots… learning new things (like building a Lego duck 😂) and getting to pour into people I absolutely adore. 🤍

Wednesday night thoughts on my late-night drive home from work…

I could complain about yet another late night, especially after what has been a particularly heavy three weeks. But tonight, I’m choosing gratitude. 🤍

Because the truth is, I’m blessed. Blessed to be in a job I prayed for for decades. Blessed to have work that challenges me, stretches me, and reminds me why I love what I do.

And thank you, Jesus, for the masterclass you’ve given me in compartmentalizing and disassociating when this job throws some really heavy things my way. 😂 Sometimes you just have to process what you can, carry what you need to carry, and leave the rest at the office.

In the midst of some really tough moments lately, both at work and in the world around us, I’m reminded that there is still so much to be grateful for.

So tonight, I’m curious… what are YOU grateful for right now?

Help me wish these cuties a very happy 48th wedding anniversary today! ❤️

This photo was from a few years back when they were in Korea, and it’s still one of my absolute favorites. There’s another photo that’s arguably better, but probably not quite as social media appropriate. Let’s just say Pops really enjoyed the soju, got a little hot, and decided his shirt was no longer necessary. 🤣🤣

I’m so incredibly grateful for the amazing family they created and for the way they continue to model love, commitment, and what it looks like to do life together every day.

Embracing this season of life is interesting. When you’ve spent most of your life dreaming about being a mom and wife, everyone else’s needs naturally came first. But now…

I’m giving myself grace to prioritize me, and learning to ask, “What am I responsible for, and am I stewarding it or just carrying it?”

Learning that I can care deeply without carrying everything… there’s so much freedom in that.

Making room for the little joys too… a good hair day, a good belly laugh, feeling good in my own skin, and just genuinely loving life.
