🌒 Given, But Not Reflected

They ask
not loudly,
but with that quiet insistence,
like it’s natural,
like it’s theirs to take.
🫴🌫️✨

“Please share this,”
“a moment of your life,”
“you can trust me.”

And somehow,
I do.

So I give
a glimpse,
a piece,
something personal enough
to matter.

🪞 When I Ask Back

But when the balance shifts
when I reach out
with the same simplicity,
the same unspoken agreement

something changes.

Their certainty fades,
their openness retreats,
their words
lose their weight.

🎭 The Evasion

Now it’s hesitation.
Now it’s distance.
Now it’s reasons
that sound carefully placed.

“Not now.”
“Some other time.”
“Maybe later.”

As if later
is a place
we both know

Strange how

🌑 Echoes That Stay

Some people think
We can forget them in two days,
as if memory is a switch,
as if the heart unlearns
what it once held
without trembling.
🌘🖤🌾

But moments don’t vanish.
Words don’t fade clean.
And the pieces of ourselves we
once offered so freely—
they linger in the quiet,
in the soft corners
no one else sees.

🪞 The Weight of Remembering

We carry things silently,
as if my calm means
We’ve let go—
as if stillness equals forgetting.
But forgetting is a myth,
a gentle lie we tell
so no one notices
the ache that stays.

Some people leave,
but the echo of who they were
keeps living in the spaces
they once softened,
or shattered.
We never forget—
We only learn to walk
with the memories
without dragging them behind me.
