കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നു വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടുള്ള പുതുതലമുറ സിനിമകളിൽ ഒട്ടുമിക്ക സിനിമകളിലും ചെറുതും വലുതുമായ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ വേഷങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ഈ നടനെ കുറിച്ചാണ് പറയാൻ പോകുന്നത്.

പ്രധാനമായും മൂന്ന് വില്ലൻ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾ.

ഒന്ന് "ജാനേമൻ "എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ കണ്ണൻ എന്ന കഥാപാത്രം ..

ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചർച്ച ചെയ്യപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്ത ഈ വേഷം "സജിയേട്ടാ " .......
എന്ന വിളിയിലേക്ക് ചുരുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിനപ്പുറം
ഈ കഥാപാത്രനിർമ്മിതിയിൽ ശരത് സഭ എന്ന നടൻറെ വ്യാഖ്യാനവും നിർമ്മാണവും എന്നെ ഏറെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടതാക്കിയ ഒന്നാണ് .സിനിമകളിൽ നമ്മൾ ഒരുപാട് ഗുണ്ടകളെ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും,ഇത്തരത്തിൽ ഒന്ന് ആദ്യമാണെന്ന് തന്നെ പറയാം.
അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായ കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഇൻസെക്യൂരിറ്റികളും,കോംപ്ലക്സുകളും "സജിയേട്ടനിലൂടെ" മറികടക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന കണ്ണൻ.കണ്ണൻറെ പ്രശ്നം കണ്ണൻറെ തന്നെ ഇൻസെക്യൂരിറ്റികളാണ്,കോംപ്ലക്സുകളുമാണ്.
ഏതു തൊഴിലെടുക്കുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലും ഇത്തരം മനുഷ്യരെ കാണാം.
കണ്ണൻ തൻ്റെ തൊഴിലിനോട് അതിലുപരി സ്വപ്നങ്ങളോട് എത്ര ആഴത്തിൽ അഡിക്ടഡ് ആണെന്ന് ശരത് എന്ന നടൻ നമ്മളെ കാണിച്ചുതരുന്നു.
ഈ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ,ആകുലതകൾ,സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ എല്ലാത്തിന്റെയും ആൾരൂപമാണ് കണ്ണന് സജിയേട്ടൻ.
കണ്ണൻറെ ഇൻസ് സെക്യൂരിറ്റികൾ അവസാനം അയാൾക്ക് നേരെ തിരിയുന്നു.സജിയേട്ടനിൽ കിട്ടുന്ന അടി' 🥲നമ്മൾ ചിരിക്കുകയും കരയുകയും ചെയ്യും.

കണ്ണൻ വളരെ സീരിയസാണ് എന്നുള്ളതാണ് ഇതിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ തമാശ.ഊളത്തരങ്ങൾ തമാശകളായി കണ്ടു പൊട്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സിനിമ തീയറ്ററിന്റെ ആൾക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളിൽ തലവേദന എടുത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ എൻറെ ഭാര്യ എന്നോട് ചോദിക്കാറുണ്ട് ....എംജി .ക്ക് എന്ത്....? 🤣

അത് കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ചിരിക്കും പിന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒന്നിച്ചു ചിരിച്ച് സമാധാനിക്കും. ഇപ്പോൾ സുനലയ്ക്കും ചെറുതായി മനസ്സിലായി വരുന്നുണ്ട് ഞാൻ ചിരിക്കാത്തതിന്റെ കാരണം എന്താണ് എന്ന്😃 പിന്നെ അതോർത്ത് ഞങ്ങൾ രണ്ടുപേരും ചിരിച്ച് സമാധാനിക്കും.

ഞാൻ പലപ്പോഴും എൻറെ അഭിനയ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളോട് പറയാറുണ്ട് നിങ്ങളുടെ "കഥാപാത്രം അഭിനയിക്കുകയല്ല" മറിച്ച് അയാൾ ഒരു പ്രശ്നത്തിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോവുകയാണ്.ഒരുപക്ഷേ അത് കണ്ട് നമ്മൾ ചിരിച്ചേക്കാം.ശരത് സഭ എന്ന നടൻ നമ്മളെ ചിരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുകയല്ല നമ്മൾ ചിരിച്ചു പോവുകയാണ്.എന്താണ് കോമഡി എന്നുള്ള ആഴത്തിലുള്ള ധാരണ ഈ നടൻ്റ പെർഫോമൻസിൽ വ്യക്തം.
ചിരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന നടന്മാരെ ഓർത്ത് എപ്പോഴും കരച്ചിൽ വരാറാണ് പതിവ്.
കുറ്റമല്ല പറയുന്നത്. കാരണം ജീവിതത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് ചിരിപ്പിക്കാൻ ആണ്.ഏറ്റവും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ളതും കോമഡി വേഷങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യാനാണ്.

Call for Submissions: ITFoK 2026
International Theatre Festival of Kerala

Thrissur, Kerala, India

The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi is pleased to announce the official call for entries to the 16th edition of the International theatre festival of Kerala (ITFoK 2026), scheduled to be held in January 25th to February 1st 2026 in Thrissur, Kerala, India.

ITFoK is one of South Asia’s most distinguished and dynamic platforms for contemporary theatre practice. We invite theatre companies, independent groups, curators, and cultural practitioners from across India and around the world to apply with original, compelling, and boundary-pushing productions.

🔹Eligibility Criteria

Open to national and international theatre productions.

Indian entries are welcome in all Indian languages, including English.

The festival encourages a wide spectrum of theatrical expressions —
Text-based, non-verbal, devised, physical, digital, dance, musical, and interdisciplinary works.

Productions previously showcased at ITFoK are not eligible.

Any production that has applied in previous years and was not selected may not reapply.

🔹Submission Guidelines

Entries must be submitted exclusively through the official application form.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.

A high-resolution video (or video link) of the entire performance is mandatory.

Applicants must also include supporting documentation (e.g., performance history, production credits, press coverage, etc.).

📅 Submission Window

Opens: August 25, 2025
Closes: September 25, 2025
Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

📝Selection Process

All submissions will be evaluated by a panel designated by the Festival Directorate. The selection will be based on artistic merit, relevance to the festival’s vision, and overall production quality. The Directorate reserves the right to make final decisions in accordance with the festival’s curatorial objectives.
