🏙️ Lost Hood by Abner Preis and produced by K.O. Productions will have its world premiere at @idfadoclab 2026! Amsterdam’s Spuistraat was once the cultural heart of the city — a place of art galleries, squats, and active resistance. Today, little remains of that history. Lost Hood gives it back: through augmented reality, the visual language and protests of a living community return to the walls of the street itself. The work is a response to the violence of gentrification and a call to see our cities as living archives of culture, resistance, and human connection. Visitors can download the app and experience the Spuistraat as it once was, a place filled with life and resistance.✊ Abner Preis will lead guided tours: 📍 Spuistraat, Amsterdam
 🗓️ 14–18 November | 16:00 & 18:00
(The final tour on 14 November is followed by drinks at Café Schuim) Go to the link in bio if you want to join the guided tour, or scan the QR code at IDFA DocLab and explore the work in your own time. by @k.o.productions.nl
We’re proud to share that the interactive component of the larger project trajectory ESHRAQ, Ali Eslami’s new work produced by K.O. Productions, has been selected for @idfadoclab Spotlights Program🎉 The ESHRAQ interactive component is a “cognitive playground”, a simulation of almost endless variation in which the visitor inhabits different agents as a “soul”, moving through worlds set in motion by spells. The work draws on the Illuminationist philosophy of 12th-century Persian thinker Suhrawardi, and is a game you can explore but never complete. The work is part of Shared Realities, the theme of DocLab’s 20th edition, which asks: as it becomes easier than ever to retreat into realities of our own making, can we still commit to sharing a world? The ESHRAQ interactive component is on show at IDFA DocLab in Amsterdam from 13-22 November 2026. We hope to see you there!🔥 by @k.o.productions.nl
ECOSHROOM S.O.I.L at @oerolterschelling " A geometric shape unfolds like living architecture. Before your eyes, plants and mycorrhizal fungi connect through electrical signals. Sensors measure these signals and environmental conditions, which are then interpreted by custom-built AI. The system responds instantly by adjusting water and nutrients. Visitors participate by adding organic waste, supporting the growth and balance of the system. After visiting Ecoshroom, the fact that human and non-human life are interdependent is impossible to ignore. Ecoshroom S.O.I.L. - Emerging among the dunes and forests of Terschelling during Oerol Festival 2026, Ecoshroom S.O.I.L. is a shape-shifting living architecture where plants, fungi, machines and humans enter into the same ecological microsystem. A geometric cube dissolves into a cloud of mist, nourishing itself through pumps and irrigation, oscillating between form and atmosphere. Strawberry, pumpkin and raspberry plants grow on its surfaces in symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi. Their electrical impulses, together with signals from soil humidity, CO₂, light spectrum and temperature, train an AI. Here, cognition emerges not from humans, but from the interactions between living organisms and their environment. These signals become visuals, sound and mist, inviting us to listen and imagine other ways of inhabiting the world. S.O.I.L. (Symbiotic Organism In Loop) is the second iteration in a family of biohybrid machines developed over the last fifteen years. Ecoshroom S.O.I.L. envisions forms of living architecture guided by the cognitive abilities of non-humans. Ecoshroom by @manaplantmanamachine is at @oerolterschelling! If you're there, make sure to check it out! Ecoshroom is an interactive installation that brings together plants, fungi, artificial intelligence, and humans within an autonomous living system, exploring how they can collaborate and communicate. A geometric shape unfolds like living architecture. Plants and mycorrhizal fungi connect through electrical signals, measured by sensors and interpreted by custom-built AI. The system responds instantly by adjusting water and nutrients. After experiencing Ecoshroom, the fact that human and non-human life are interdependent is impossible to ignore. 📍 Oerol Festival | 12–21 June 2026 By Ivan Henriques Produced by K.O. Looking back on an incredible experience at Photoville 2026 📸🗽 In May, @rubenhamelink's work was on display at Brooklyn Bridge Park as part of the Photoville Festival in New York, one of the largest free photography festivals in the world. This was an introduction of his work Atlas of Derogatory Landscapes, which focuses on the hidden violence embedded in America's place names out into the open, showing the colonial legacy etched into the country's own geography. Thank you to the @photoville team and to everyone who engaged with the work! We're excited for the next developments of Atlas of Derogatory Landscapes. by @k.o.productions.nl
Ecoshroom is heading to Oerol Festival — in a whole new shape! From 12–21 June, Ivan Henriques @manaplantmanamachine's interactive installation returns in an evolved form: a living architecture where plants, fungi, and AI work together in real time. Sensors capture electrical signals between plants and mycorrhizal fungi, a custom AI interprets them, and sound and visuals make these invisible conversations perceptible. Visitors become part of the system too — by adding organic waste, they actively support its growth and balance. A work about coexistence, interdependence, and reimagining the relationships between humans, nature, and technology. 🤖🌱 This renewed version of Ecoshroom is made possible with the generous support of @mondriaanfonds, @cultuurfonds, and @cbkrotterdam — and three partners whose expertise has literally helped grow the work from the inside: 🌫️ iMist — providing the misting systems that regulate the installation's environment 🌱 Koppert Cress — contributing innovative edible plant species integrated into the living ecosystem 🍄 Agronutrition — supplying the mycorrhizal fungi that strengthen the installation's living network See you at @oerolterschelling 🌍✨ by @k.o.productions.nl
We're thrilled to welcome Ali Eslami @alless0 to an exciting new project💥 More details coming soon!  Ali is an artist and engineer working at the intersection of art, design, and virtual worlds — weaving together memory, computation, and "poetic engineering" through VR, simulation, installation, and more. Ali's work continuously explores the shifting relationships between form and function.  He's finishing his residency at @makeeindhoven, where he explored working with physical materials for the first time — glass, metal, and foundry sand — learning to work with mistakes rather than against them. You can attend the final presentation for free! 📅 Friday, May 29, from 16:00 - 18:00 at MAKE Eindhoven! Stay tuned to see what's next.⚡ 📸: Ruud Hermans - MAKE @ruudhermans by @k.o.productions.nl
