We’re proud to share that the interactive component of the larger project trajectory ESHRAQ, Ali Eslami’s new work produced by K.O. Productions, has been selected for @idfadoclab Spotlights Program🎉

The ESHRAQ interactive component is a “cognitive playground”, a simulation of almost endless variation in which the visitor inhabits different agents as a “soul”, moving through worlds set in motion by spells. The work draws on the Illuminationist philosophy of 12th-century Persian thinker Suhrawardi, and is a game you can explore but never complete.

The work is part of Shared Realities, the theme of DocLab’s 20th edition, which asks: as it becomes easier than ever to retreat into realities of our own making, can we still commit to sharing a world?

The ESHRAQ interactive component is on show at IDFA DocLab in Amsterdam from 13-22 November 2026. We hope to see you there!🔥
