A series of 5 videos for the church to close out 2024. What an honor. I’ve wanted to get back to doing some creative storytelling for my church for a while now, and last year ended with a mad dash to put these together. Very small crew taking big swings. Incredible stories of what God is doing through the church.

Big thanks to @mikekelsey & @askthelonelymedia for bringing me on to do this and the amazing ppl allowing us to share their stories.

[Trigger warning - images may be hard to see] Nov. 10, 2022, my daughter Ruby passed away. Like any proud dad and processing filmmaker, I had some clips and recordings of our experience with her that year and I (quickly) made three videos that we showed during her memorial service. This is a portion of one of them.

Two years doesn’t resolve the grief but it may provide perspective. I remember initially disliking 2022. It feels like the worst year of my life. It feels like one of the best. And, it’s when I started to see how kind my God is. by @k_black

The Imago Dei

These are some clips from a music video I shot for Kennard in 2018. It was the first time we met and worked together. Since then we’ve become good friends and continue collabing with each other. Looking back at the footage, these were some of my favorite moments from the music vid and it’s funny how time can make you appreciate different aspects of previous work.

Also, I would shoot everything in B&W if I could.

Shot some 16mm 🎥 tour clips of @iamhollyn @wwweathrman at their @bmoresoundstage show back in May. Mix of @kodak_shootfilm 50D and 500T on the Russian K3 camera (s/o @k3super16). It's been dope getting to know them more on each of these collabs. Listen to their latest project, "Theology of Beauty: Spring." by @k_black
