The Imago Dei

These are some clips from a music video I shot for Kennard in 2018. It was the first time we met and worked together. Since then we’ve become good friends and continue collabing with each other. Looking back at the footage, these were some of my favorite moments from the music vid and it’s funny how time can make you appreciate different aspects of previous work.

Also, I would shoot everything in B&W if I could.

Lately. Fall has been busy in the best way.

Opening night of Studio Hours / After Hours at the Spagnuolo Art Gallery at Georgetown, celebrating afterward with Kylynn Couture, on location on M Street with my photo students, and a research trip to the Hirshhorn with my senior art majors.

Thank you to John Tyler for sharing his experience as a musician, composer, producer, and founder of Love Groove Festival, and to photographer and master printer Webster Phillips for sharing the I Henry Project archive with my students.

Last weekend was fun. New/Next Film Festival 2026 commissioned me to make backstage portraits of visiting filmmakers, producers, and actors for an upcoming BmoreArt feature.

Another @newnextfilmfest in the books. Definitely one of my favorite festivals to attend and be a part of. Grateful to the NewNext team for all they do and blessed to have met so many talented filmmakers. Monicas Painting lives on…Till next time 🙏🏿
