Going to heaven is so simple that religion has convinced people it must be more complicated.

You don’t earn eternal life.
You don’t work your way toward it.
You don’t prove you deserve it.

Christ did the work.

Believe in Him.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith… Not by works…”
Ephesians 2:8–9

Save this. Someone you know may need the gospel explained this simply.

This post is not about minimizing sin.

The Bible is clear that sin is serious.

The question is:

How are sinners saved?

Many people believe certain sins place a person beyond the reach of God’s grace.

But the gospel teaches something radically different.

Christ did not die for “acceptable” sinners.

Christ died for sinners.

All sinners.

The dividing line Scripture gives is not homosexuality vs heterosexuality.

Not pride vs humility.

Not greed vs generosity.

The dividing line is belief vs unbelief.

“He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already…”
John 3:18 KJV

If your confidence is in your ability to stop sinning, you will never have peace.

If your confidence is in Christ, you can rest.

Jesus paid for sin.

Trust Him.

If this helped you see the gospel more clearly, share it with someone who needs hope today 🫶🏾.

Repentance has become one of the most misunderstood words in Christianity.

If repentance means “stop sinning,” then who could ever be saved? None of us have completely stopped sinning, and if turning from sinful behavior could save us, Jonah 3:10 calls that a work.

The good news is that Jesus didn’t come to make salvation dependent on your ability to reform yourself. He came because you couldn’t.

The cross settled the sin problem. “It is finished.”

Real transformation doesn’t come from becoming consumed with your failures. Scripture says we’re changed as we behold the glory of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Stop trying to do what Jesus already accomplished.

Stop staring at your sin.

Start looking to your Savior.

The more you know Him, the more your life begins to reflect Him.

Are Christian’s still in danger of going to hell??

If you’ve believed in Jesus Christ, you’ve already passed from death unto life (John 5:24).

Jesus didn’t promise temporary life. He promised EVERLASTING life.

Your salvation isn’t secured by your ability to remain faithful, but by the faithfulness of the One who saved you.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
‭‭John‬ ‭11‬:‭25‬-‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Your battle with lust is not your identity.

If you’ve believed in Jesus Christ, you’re not the old man trying to become a new creation. You ARE a new creation learning to walk in the truth of who you already are.

You don’t overcome sin to become righteous. You’ve been made righteous in Christ, and learning to believe that truth changes how you live.

“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature…”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Stop identifying yourself by your failures and agree with God!

Does God still listen to you when you’re waist deep in sin?

Your failures don’t suddenly make God deaf to your prayers.

If you’ve believed in Jesus Christ, you have peace with God through Him (Romans 5:1).

Sin is serious, but your relationship with God isn’t being reset every time you stumble.

Don’t let your struggles convince you that you can no longer approach your Father.
(Hebrews 4:16)

God doesn’t see you as a wretched sinner trying to earn His approval.

If you’ve believed in Jesus Christ, you’ve been made righteous, accepted, and brought into God’s family.

You’re not trying to become worthy of His love. You’re already loved and accepted in Christ.

Romans 8:15
2 Corinthians 5:21
Ephesians 1:6

Have you ever sinned and immediately started questioning whether you’re still saved?

Maybe you fell into lust again. Maybe you said something you shouldn’t have. Maybe you remembered something you did years ago, and suddenly you’re wondering whether God has disowned you.

So you start examining yourself.

You promise to do better. You confess again. You search for another sermon, another Bible verse, another explanation that will finally make you feel secure.

And for a little while, you feel better.

Until it happens again.

This is the loop that keeps so many Christians stuck.

The problem isn’t that sin doesn’t matter. It does. But somewhere along the way, you’ve started treating every failure as though it reverses what Christ accomplished for you.

Jesus said that whoever believes in Him has everlasting life and has passed from death unto life (John 5:24).

Notice that He didn’t say you would have eternal life until your next failure.

If you’ve believed the Gospel, your standing with God isn’t being reset every time you stumble.

You are not repeatedly moving in and out of Christ.

You belong to Him.

Instead of constantly examining yourself to determine whether you’re still saved, begin renewing your mind with what God has already declared true about you in Christ.

Your thoughts may accuse you. Your feelings may condemn you. But neither has the authority to overturn God’s promise.

“For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.”
1 John 3:20

Save this for the next time you find yourself caught in the loop.

You don’t have to FEEL the Holy Ghost to HAVE the Holy Ghost.

Your emotions may change from day to day, but God’s Word doesn’t.

The moment you believed the Gospel, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
(Ephesians 1:13)

Stop measuring God’s presence by your feelings.

Trust in His promise.

“What if I only THINK I’m saved?”

Your assurance was never supposed to come from your ability to perform well enough to feel saved.

Look to Christ and His promise.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The thing you’re doing to try to make things better could actually be what’s hindering you.

Trying your hardest to be a better Christian won’t give you assurance.

If your confidence is based on how well you’re performing, every bad day will just give you another reason to doubt.

Look to Christ instead.

You don’t need to have stronger faith to be saved.

You need faith in Jesus to be saved.

Stop asking whether you believed “enough” and start looking at the One you believed in.

“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6‬:‭40‬ ‭KJV‬‬
