Buy. Breed. Climb. is my first game. It's about breeding magic beans to grow better beanstalks and climb higher. 🫘 🌿

POSTS STORIES REELS

AI has been involved in basically every part of making Buy. Breed. Climb.

Code, art, writing, game mechanics, sound, brainstorming—you name it.

I don't want to hide that or dress it up as "AI assisted." It's been a core part of how this game has been made from the beginning, so I wanted to be completely transparent about it.

Upgrade purchase sound affect 👂

Probably one of my favourite sounds in my game.

Does it fit everywhere? 📱🖥️

Testing Buy Breed Climb across different screen sizes and aspect ratios.

Turns out making the game run on a phone was only part of the problem.

It runs on my phone.

I was having a bit of a moment seeing Buy Breed Climb actually running on Android.

Pretty nifty if I do say so myself.

Controls still need some work. 😅

Tiny animation, big difference.

Added a new lock animation to the inventory, plus a sound effect that came out way better than I expected. 🔒🔊

Close up view of the movement

I was totally wrong.

I resisted adding NPC portraits for a long time because making close-ups for every character felt like a lot of work for a pretty small detail.

There are only six NPCs, but still—I figured it wasn’t worth it.

Turns out it was. The dialogue feels so much better with them.
