Emmerson (Louis) Park is a 2.6-acre neighborhood park located in the West Ridge community of Chicago, Illinois.

History and Background

Acquired in 1931 from the Chicago Town and Tennis Club, the park was the last neighborhood park created by the Lincoln Park Commission before it consolidated into the Chicago Park District in 1934.

It is named in honor of Louis L. Emmerson, who served as the Governor of Illinois from 1929 to 1933.
