DAY 2448. Friday. All day rain in Shanghai (17 to 22C degrees). Had decent sleep, got ready for another great day.

🎥
In today’s video I’m analyzing Ogun’s serve.

🎾
Started with tennis session indoors. We worked on rally control and live patterns!

🏊🤿
Continued with the workout of the day: swimming intervals in the nearby swimming pool (smaller pool, I’m guessing 25m). I did 50, 100, 200, 300m intervals for the total of ~1.2 km in ~45 minutes. Felt great.

🎾
Later I went for longer tennis session indoors. We went through mini tennis games, rallies, drills got shot placement, approach and net play, slices, special games with points, serves and points. Made it count. Another day, another small step!

Amazing days in the mist of terrible moments you have to stay balanced and realize every step every misstep is a blessing……

Tulley Park makes me feel like im in valley in LA these courts are unreal 🙏🙌

Eckersall Park
amazing park no public access amazing track it’s weird same setup as Winnemac Park but no public access all gates locked 🔒 and cameras every where 🤷‍♂️

Mahalia Jackson Park
This has not been touched since Covid it’s a literally a ghost park I don’t understand it at all 🤷‍♂️

This summer im going to play tennis at every single tennis court in the Chicago Park District

Ep. 105 Brown Memorial Park

Brown (Sidney) Memorial Park is a peaceful 6.92-acre community park located in the Chatham neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

History and Naming

Purchased in 1983 by the Chicago Park District after initial community pushback when residents expected a larger space.

Named in 1990 after Sidney Brown (1951–1983), the first African-American firefighter to die in the line of duty in Chicago. Brown served with Engine Company 75 and tragically died trying to rescue three children from a burning house.

Atmosphere and Features

Relaxed environment featuring quiet, well-maintained green spaces and walking paths ideal for clearing your thoughts or family outings.

Recreational amenities include a playground, a seasonal spray pool, tennis courts, softball diamonds, and open picnic groves.

Community hub that hosts local activities, seasonal youth programs, and regular park advisory meetings.
