What an incredible honor to be inducted into the Nicholls State University Athletic Hall of Fame.

It felt so good to be back at a place I once called home. A place that shaped me, challenged me, and taught me lessons that have stayed with me far beyond the sport. Nicholls gave me so much more than I ever could have imagined.

The records, medals and championships will always be memories I cherish, but knowing I was part of a team that impacted this university, set a standard, and left a mark means even more. Knowing my name and a piece of my story will forever be part of Nicholls is incredibly special.

Getting to share this moment with the people I love made it even more meaningful. Sharing this with Andy brought everything full circle. And for Mia Kate and Georgia to experience a place and a chapter of my life that helped make me who I am today is something I’ll never forget and i hope it makes them proud.

I am so grateful for Thibodaux, these people, and the opportunity to leave a legacy somewhere that gave me so much.

Thank you Nicholls State University!

First day of 3rd and 5th grades. Two happy girls ready to take on all the things this year. Nobody prepares you for the emotions of being excited, proud, happy, sad and scared all at once. McAuliffe, take care of my babies. Saddle up, here’s to being the Texas Best kinda kids!🤠 by @kadi_roethele

This memory holds so many life lessons I hope she never forgets. Attitude is everything and can make or break your moment. Failure comes with frustration, but if it weren’t for the failed attempts, the moment of success wouldn’t be as sweet. If you believe you can, you will. Slicked back pony tails aren’t necessary for water sports. So proud of this girls determination and will to win grit. 🏄🏼‍♀️ taken in Lake Cypress Springs, Tx by @kadi_roethele

One of the most unbelievable experiences from the trip. We swam and snorkeled through this dark sea cave in Cinque Terre. Proof that I’m still kinda adventurous 🫣🇮🇹 taken in Cinque Terre, Italy by @kadi_roethele
