October seems to be my month for big transitions. Ten years ago today, I left Better Homes & Gardens for the marketing world. A year ago, I wrapped up nine incredible years at Oriental Trading for what I thought was my next long term gig. And this October, I’m officially on the other side — getting in the groove running my own business and leading strategy across amazing brands. And dancing my way through it! Taylor called it Opalite. I call it the sweet spot. ✨ If your brand is ready for its own shift, let’s chat and make the next season your sweet spot too. 📷 @themodernpractitioner 📍 @lulicreativehouse by @kaelin.z

Cheers to the big 4-0 to my ride or die since day one, little sis @themodernpractitioner ! I may be the big sis but you bring so much wisdom, thoughtfulness and of course the second child spice to our fam! I’m so grateful you are here we can raise our babies together, work together and do random coffee drop offs! You are the best and your 40s will be amazing sis! 😉 Happy birthday! by @kaelin.z
🔟 Double digits! We spent all weekend celebrating our party-loving cheerleader who wanted her party at one of her favorite places—the cheer gym! We had a great time with her friends and coach @jocelyn.knott who taught them an adorable routine! To our spunky, kind, fun loving Reese—happy birthday, we love you and hope this is your best year yet! 💕 by @kaelin.z
It’s only been 4 days of Mimi and Papa in their Nebraska house but we feel so blessed to have the whole fam here for the birthday parties and games! Special times to be together 💕 by @kaelin.z
Twelve!! Happy birthday to our amazing Rhett! You have grown up so much over this last year and we are so proud of the hardworking, talented, kindhearted young man that you are! ❤️ and thank you for putting up with Aunt Whitney and mom making a birthday video 😘😘 Happy birthday buddy! by @kaelin.z
Two weeks before we were headed to Italy, we got a whim to go one more place while we were over there. We asked Rhett what he wanted to see and he said “it has to be the Eiffel Tower.” So we did (and saved a ton of $$ rebooking through Paris coming back #travelwin)! And it was an amazing 24 hours with a quick power nap after getting up at 3 am for our early flight! Reese said Paris is totally “her vibe” and I could see her channeling her future Emily in Paris kind of creative life 🤣 Getting to make all these memories this summer has been so special ❤️ by @kaelin.z
Pisa. Florence. Milan. Lake Como. Venice. Our Italy baseball tour was more than just baseball, we got the FULL TOUR of Italy! It was HOT but it was all so worth seeing the beautiful sights of this country. It was so fun to explore these cities with our new baseball friends and Dave and I have a list of places we can’t wait to go back to someday! So many family memories we will treasure forever! 🇮🇹⚾️🇺🇸❤️ by @kaelin.z
If you plan a trip to Paris, we loved staying at the @londreseiffel! It’s a boutique hotel right next to the Eiffel Tower. The family suite set up was perfect for us! The staff was amazing the decor and vibe was 👌👌👌! #Parishotels #paristravel #boutiqueparishotels by @kaelin.z
We wrapped up our Italy baseball games with a great game vs the @poviglio.baseball club! After the game, our boys gifted a bunch of our gear from the trip! It was one of the highlights to see the kids faces light up and our boys share in one of the many amazing parts of this trip. Their love of baseball has no language barriers and these boys will share an incredible bond and memories for their lifetime from this trip! Shout out to @chipsperformance @coachdress26 for this experience! #Italybaseball #travelball #youthbaseball by @kaelin.z
Our next baseball game took us to @livorno1948baseball club where we learned about our US military bringing the sport to this area and the rich history of this clubs love with baseball! We had a fun game mixing up our 12u teams and had an amazing moment when a US military kiddo playing with Livorno hit a home run! Then we ate a delicious dinner made by the Livorno families. Thank you for the hospitality and the memories! ❤️🇮🇹⚾️🇺🇸 #italybaseball #travelball #chipsitalytour by @kaelin.z
Such a special moment for game two today when we were playing a US military kid whose dad is stationed in Italy. After a few innings we mixed our teams and then Jordan #42 got up and SMASHED IT to the outfield for an in the park home run! We were so pumped for him and this 9 year old has a great baseball career ahead of him! 🇺🇸⚾️🇮🇹 by @kaelin.z
