What an event that was!!!!

Here we are with the OFFICIAL Smackdown26 video courtesy of @henrybettany.

64 baristas competed over 4 weeks of heats with the top 4 from each heat into the final 16 on Friday October 9th

A total of £4525 in cash including £495 beer profit money & £1280 total entry money & multiple donations from coffee legends AS WELL AS at least £2,000 worth of actual prizes and kit with the ultimate winners being….

We LOVED the Kaffeine Latte Art Finals on Friday!! So many phenomenal competitors, some fantastic pours and barely any spillages all night long! It’s always an honour to see so many exceptional baristas pouring perfection at one of the finest institutions of specialty coffee in the world. Thankyou so much to Peter and his incredible team for an amazing evening and congratulations to the new champion @wuwucoffee !!

Smackdown26 wrapped

The UNOFFICIAL wrapped video from the greatest latte art competition of its kind in the World.

64 baristas over 4 weeks of heats competing to get into the top 16 and the chance for cash, prizes and GLORY!!

At Kaffeine, we focus on what is known here as ‘The 1%’s’ - the fine details.

It’s a management system I was taught over 25 years ago by a manager of a hotel in Melbourne.

It’s very easy to build the big percentages, but to be perfect you have to focus on the small details. This is what is hard.

So for example the espresso syrup on our pancakes is made with espresso from the coffee machine. It’s like having coffee, on your pancakes.

It’s definitely brunch season…..(and Sunday roasts)

No more 35 degrees in the parks of London, it’s now the perfect time to get out & enjoy a delicious brunch, with superb coffee, here at Kaffeine.

When you go out for a brunch, you definitely need good coffee & if you want it, a freshly squeezed orange juice.

The only thing we don’t offer is a Bloody Mary or a mimosa.

Walk in’s only. Tables go quick, brunch cooked for you within 15 minutes of ordering & a wonderful selection of own made bakery items to finish off before your autumnal walk. by @kaffeinelondon

Lunch time focaccias are back at Kaffeine.⁠

When we opened 17 years ago, we started with focaccia from @sevenseeded bakery, then we moved to baguettes, then to our own brioches & now we are back with the most delicious focaccia bread we know of. ⁠

Check our weekly changing menu online, or just come into store and get a focaccia lightly toasted on our grills for eat in or takeaway.⁠

Have you tried a Portuguese??

This is by far one of our most popular bakery items.

When we opened in 2009 I said to chefs ‘can we make a pasteis de nata?’ and they said ‘yes we can’

Now it’s not a traditional nata, which is why we call it a Portuguese tart. But SOOO many people tell us it’s the best they have ever had.

Available both locations, all made to the same recipe as 17 years ago. Long may they live. by @kaffeinelondon

Watch to the end….

That feeling when you are in the second round of Heat Four with a chance to get into the finals, you pour two of your best tulips, you have to decide which one to put forward & your pour your left over milk into the glass at the front.
