For nearly three decades, KAFSC’s Silent March Against Domestic Violence has brought our community together to honor survivors and remember those whose lives have been lost to domestic and gender-based violence.

We march in silence for those whose voices have been suppressed by fear, stigma, and isolation—especially immigrant survivors who face additional language, immigration, and financial barriers to seeking safety. Yet together, our presence sends a powerful message: survivors are not alone.

Join us as we turn silence into solidarity and break the silence to end the violence.

Friday, October 23, 2026 | 4 PM
The march begins at the NYPD 109th Precinct and concludes with speeches at Queens Public Library.

We hope to see you there! 💜

KAFSC’s Youth Community Project Team (YCPT) is gearing up for our upcoming Silent March! 💜

Through their Community Advocacy 101 workshop, YCPT students explored how to organize effective advocacy campaigns, amplify AAPI voices, and mobilize communities to stand together against hate and discrimination.

As they prepare for the Silent March, our youth leaders are turning meaningful conversations into collective action, demonstrating the power of youth advocacy in creating safer, more inclusive communities.

KAFSC is proud to see our students grow as advocates and encourages our community to join us at the upcoming Silent March to stand in solidarity with the AAPI community and make our voices heard! ✊

KAFSC was very happy to attend the @gardenofhopeny Resource Fair during October, the month of Domestic Violence Awareness.

Supporting survivors requires the whole community’s effort—a community well-informed on domestic violence and legal rights, and collective work from all service providers dedicated to families and community members.

We also continued @aafederation’s Hope Against Hate Campaign (HAH) at this event, where community members learned more about the campaign and received safety education pamphlets and HAH merch.

KAFSC participated in the Domestic Violence Roundtable organized by the @queensbprichards.

The meeting brought together key representatives in the fight against domestic violence, including the Queens Family Justice Center and @nycendgbv, @nypd, and other community partners to discuss available resources, community needs, and opportunities to strengthen collaboration.

Through open dialogue and the sharing of strategies, we reaffirmed the importance of working together to protect survivors and support the most vulnerable members of our communities, particularly immigrants and underserved populations.

At KAFSC, we remain committed to building stronger partnerships, raising awareness, and ensuring that every survivor has access to the resources, support, and protection they deserve.

Together, we can build safer and stronger communities free from domestic violence. 💜

“You don’t open your hardship.”

For 37 years, Flushing’s Korean American Family Service Center (@kafsc_ny) has helped Korean survivors of gender-based violence break their silence, offering counseling, legal help and emergency shelter support in their own language.

At its gala, KAFSC honored Rev. Dr. Sook Hee Bae and Hannah Yang of The New York Times for their commitment to the community. 24/7 bilingual hotline: (718) 460-3800. #kafscpartner
