Meet our August speaker, @kahiching ✨

Kahi Ching is a Honolulu-born painter and sculptor who has spent over 35 years creating work that refuses to stay in one lane. Painting, ceramics, wood, metal, mixed media — he’s worked in all of it, and he’s not done yet. His work was featured in the Hawaiʻi Triennial 2025 and selected for the State’s permanent collection.

This month, under the theme Palm, he’s bringing that whole journey to our stage.

Free, open to everyone, and the perfect way to start a Friday morning.

📅 August 28 | ⏰ 8:00 AM | 📍 SALT at Our Kakaʻako
🎵 Live music | 🍳 Light breakfast | ☕ @honolulucoffee
🔗 Link in bio to RSVP

Honored to participate as a judge for the 63rd Annual Scholastic Art Awards. This comes full circle for me as I was selected to represent Hawai’i back in 1980. This is such a great opportunity for young artists, and a wonderful stepping stone to reach their future artistic goals! Just a few days left to see the works of these talented keiki! @capitolmodern by @kahiching
