This is for the parents worrying themselves sick because their kid isn’t getting on at school.

Maybe they’re on the spectrum. ADHD. Dyslexic. Constantly in trouble, dropping out, being excluded or just don’t seem to fit into the system.

I was that kid. I didn’t do well in the traditional system. I went from job to job. Phones 4U selling phones, Sky TV standing in shopping centres selling TV packages, commission-only jobs in the City and many more jobs.

I also went badly off track. I’ve been to prison multiple times. I’ve been arrested, banged up abroad and got myself into situations that caused my family unbelievable stress.

I’m not proud of any of it. But it’s part of the journey that eventually led me here.

In 2014 I founded ABODE, which went on to become one of the biggest parties in the UK. I’ve travelled the world, lived in different countries, built businesses, made money, lost money and in 2024 pretty much lost everything and had to rebuild again.

I didn’t really start figuring myself out until I was approaching my 40s. So if your child doesn’t fit into the school system, please don’t automatically think that means they won’t fit into the world.

School, college and university are brilliant for some people. They’re just not the only route.Teach your kids how to communicate. Teach them the value of money and hard work. Teach them to hustle for opportunities, be streetwise, treat people properly and pick themselves back up when life knocks them down.

And most importantly, help them discover what they’re good at instead of constantly reminding them what they struggle with. The kid who can’t sit still in a classroom might have the energy to build something incredible.

The dyslexic kid struggling with an exam paper might be unbelievable with people. The kid who doesn’t fit into anybody else’s world might eventually create their own.

Give them love. Give them boundaries. Give them consequences when they get things wrong. But don’t give up on their future because they’re struggling with their present.

Quick one about Forward Motion on the Rock 2027 🇲🇹

Loads of you have been asking about VIP tickets.
Last year, VIP sold out in minutes, and we’re expecting them to go super quick again this year.

So if you haven’t signed up yet, head over to the Forward Motion page, comment MALTA on one of our latest posts and we’ll send you the sign-up link.

There’ll also be an option to upgrade to our Backstage Experience. These are going to be super limited, so if that’s what you want, you’ll need to be quick. We’ll also be releasing all the hotel deals very soon.

The idea is to keep the whole weekend affordable. You’ll be able to spread the cost of your festival ticket over 10 months and your hotel over 10 months as well, rather than having to pay for everything in one go.

We’re already working on the 2027 line-up and honestly, we cannot wait to get back out there.

If you’re looking for a festival with a slightly older crowd, Forward Motion is strictly over 25s. We had people flying in from all over the world this year, all different ages and backgrounds, and the crowd was honestly one of the best parts of the whole weekend.

As a son, I think all you ever really want is for your parents to be proud of you.

Having them join me in Malta at the weekend and actually see what we’ve built meant a lot to me, because I definitely haven’t always given them reasons to be proud.

From a young age I caused my parents absolute murders. Police at the door all the time, them visiting me in prison week in, week out, me travelling around the world getting myself into all sorts of shit and ringing them to bail me out after getting banged up abroad.

Even when they were skint, they always came through.

My dad was working five jobs at one point and my mum was a dinner lady, just trying to pay the mortgage and keep the family going. Yet whenever I got myself in trouble, somehow they found a way to help me.

My mum has had multiple breakdowns over the years and I know the stress and worry I brought home played a big part in that.

So having them in Malta, seeing thousands of people there, seeing what we’ve built and probably understanding a little bit more why I’ve spent so many years grafting like I have, was a special moment for me.

Now it’s my turn to look after them and make sure they don’t go without as they get older.

A lot of what I’m building now isn’t really about me anymore. It’s about making sure my mum and dad are looked after, making sure Freddie has a future and helping my sister, who like Sophie is a full-time SEN parent.

I owe a lot to my mum and dad. They backed me when there wasn’t much to back and kept picking me up when I kept fucking up.

Without them there’s no me.

No events. No Forward Motion. No school and orphanage in Uganda. None of the things that have come from this mad life I’ve lived.

It took me a long time to get here, but being able to finally give back to my mum and dad and hopefully make them proud means more to me than most things ever will. by @kai_forwardmotion

A message from Kai & Steven about 2026 & 2027 Malta.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to every single one of you who flew out to Malta at the weekend and supported the first ever Forward Motion On The Rock ( Malta Mainland. )

It’s genuinely hard to put into words just how good that weekend was. If you were there, you’ll know exactly what we mean. Some things just feel like a complete blessing, and this weekend was definitely one of them.

Firstly, the crowd. What a crowd. Friendly, happy, up for it from start to finish. Strangers became friends, and by the end of the weekend it honestly felt like we knew half the dance floor personally. That’s exactly what Forward Motion is about.

Then the venues. We have to take our hats off to everyone involved because these venues were made for parties like this. Every one had its own vibe and brought something different to the weekend.

And finally, the music.

As promoters, you always have that little worry in the back of your mind ,have we programmed it right? Is everything going to flow?

For us, it flowed perfectly across the entire weekend.

Deep soulful house. Deep house classics. UK garage. Tech house. We had you covered, and every DJ understood the assignment.

Hopefully some of you walked away from Malta having discovered your new favourite DJ. ❤️

Most importantly, we hope you’ll ALL be coming back with us in 2027, because we’re already excited about what we can do next.

Forward Motion On The Rock 2026 🇲🇹❤️

I don’t even know where to begin, so I’ll keep this short-ish and sweet…

Genuinely one of the best, if not the best weekend of my life. Myself , Steven and all our team just pulled off the most beautiful four-day weekend in Malta with 2,500 of our Forward Motion family flying in from all over Europe, and even as far as Australia and the US, to join us.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, friendly and up for it crowd. Different ages, backgrounds and cultures, all together for one reason, a love of music and a fu##ing good time.

I spent the majority of the weekend in the crowd, dancing alongside everyone, chatting to people, getting to know our audience properly and just sharing the good vibes. That’s probably been one of my favourite parts of the whole weekend. Hearing people’s stories, finding out where they’ve travelled from and seeing first-hand what Forward Motion means to people is something I’ll never take for granted.

The venues were out of this world. Our partners at the @356entertainmentofficial in Malta ,we couldn’t love you any more if we tried. From start to finish, everything was immaculate and the work that goes on behind the scenes to make a weekend like this happen is unbelievable.

Musically… 10/10. I’m sure you’ll all agree. We took a few risks, introduced some new sounds and trusted what we believed would work. Seeing the reaction on those dance floors made it all worthwhile.

And once again, no bad vibes. Just thousands of people dancing, smiling, hugging, making new friends and enjoying themselves.

For me and my family, being able to do this abroad in the sunshine with all of you is genuinely a dream come true.

Big up every single person who came, danced, showed love and supported Forward Motion this weekend. You made it what it was.

And if you couldn’t make it this year, I really hope circumstances allow you to join us next time.

Our final day and night in Malta.

I’ve loved the Forward Motion Weekender. It’s blown all my expectations and definitely set the levels high for next year. It’s honestly been a pleasure spending the weekend with everyone who came out. I don’t think I’ve stopped dancing , I’ve spent pretty much the whole weekend in the crowds, just being left alone to dance and enjoy myself, which I absolutely love.

I’m a raver at heart. I used to be that person on the dance floor dreaming about being backstage… and now I can go backstage whenever I want, I’ve realised it’s actually boring back there You miss all the action.

Give me the middle of the dance floor every time.

I love music. I love house music. I love that feeling of just being completely free on a dance floor surrounded by good people.
I also want to say a massive thank you to our partners, the @356entertainmentofficial . These guys make festivals happen week in, week out for some of the biggest promoters in the world, and the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes that none of you ever see is incredible.

From the months of planning beforehand to making sure everything flows while we’re here, they work tirelessly behind the scenes. We genuinely couldn’t put on a weekend like this without them, so a huge thank you to the whole 356 team.

If you missed Malta this year, we really hope you can join us next year. Dates are dropping within the next couple of days and after this weekend, I genuinely think tickets are going to Sell Out super quick.
