Sooooo (this one’s a bit of a long read )😬 but yesterday marked 4 YEARS since my debut release “Born To Music” and ever since then it’s been an incredible journey. Most of you probably haven’t heard the story behind this release, so here is how I went from being a 12 year old kid messing around on a Mini keyboard with my cousin to being signed and mentored by one of house music’s greatest legends @jovonn_official . 🏠 🎶 My old instagram account got banned for being too young 😅but the video on the second slide was the one that set my music career on what it has gone on to be. I posted this video fully expecting just my close family to watch it and didn’t really think much of it. A few hours later my phone was going crazy 🤣 I was getting messages from the likes of Jovonn and @tb203_official going crazy for these young kids making the same music they loved. Something that started as just a little bit of fun became noticed by some real respected names in the industry and to be honest i didn’t even know deep house had a name at this point, I just enjoyed creating music🤣🤣. So from this video, Jovonn was really keen to help me in releasing music, I was sitting on so much music and in October 2022, I released my first EP on @bodyndeep.nyc I became obsessed with this side of house music! The EP went global, with early support from the likes of @honeydijon @cinthie_dj @defectedrecords and many more As a young producer, it is so amazing to see DJs and producers within the scene that have been doing it for years, wanting to help the young generation keep house music alive and one thing i’ve learnt about house music is that the real ones do it because they love it. A lot of things can look polished and great on socials but what sometimes isn’t as well documented is the process, the behind the scenes work that goes into a craft that you want to share with the world. The late nights producing music, the gigs where the floor is empty, the tracks that no one heard, it’s all just part of the journey and I’m very grateful to everyone that has continued to believe in what I do.
