Easily the most artistic, talented, resourceful, photogenic, free-spirited yet level-headed person I know. He’s always the life of the party — and the best person to spend a quiet evening with.
Somehow, he’s got life all figured out in just 50 years.
Even though his home is on the other side of the globe, I know he’s always just a short phone call away to talk me through whatever life throws at me.

IRONMAN 70.3 Rockford 🪨

One year, same course, completely different race. This year I showed up smarter, the weather showed up nicer, and the river decided to do me a favor.

🏊‍♀️ Swim: wetsuit legal + a spunky current = 7 minutes faster than last year. I’d like to personally thank the Rock River for its service.

🚴‍♀️ Bike: I either blocked the hills from memory or my brain was protecting me from trauma, hard to say which. Add in some obnoxious wind gusts, and I still came in over a minute faster than 2025. Take the win.

🏃‍♀️ Run: my shins flared up (as they tend to do off the bike) for the first 4 painful, frustrating miles. Around mile 5 they finally let up. Relief turned into “okay then, let’s actually run this,” and I pushed into the pace I knew I had. Almost 15 minutes faster than last year.

Overall with some chaotic transitions…

…and I’m pretty satisfied with the whole enchilada.

Hugely proud of @kitzmanaaron2 , who crushed his very first triathlon after learning to swim in April. Wild. 🤯

🙏 Endless thanks to @twilliams1406 @tritasticfitness for coaching me through a year that threw some massive curveballs while my motivation crashed a few times. You always help me see my potential.
And finish lines never get old. ❤️

Another Elsa Backyard Ultra in the books! I don’t identify as a trail runner or ultra runner but once or twice a year I enjoy participating in this incredibly welcoming community of endurance elites who never surprise me with their fitness and grit on the crazy terrain at @willenborgwoods 💚
@rlwillenborg and @willenborgcraig have created something truly special and this weekend was another reminder of the show of support and camaraderie this community embodies. So very thankful to call these people my friends.
Congrats to all who suffered through one or two yards, or continued through the night and into Sunday. Last man standing did an impressive 31 yards (129 miles)— Congrats, Doug!!

🤍 🐿️ Good times at the First Annual White Squirrel Roubaix this morning!
Stayed deep in Zone 5 the whole 50k ❤️‍🔥😮‍💨 but enjoyed trying to keep up with my Squirrel Gang and seeing so many friends out there. This crew makes suffering fun. ❤️
Big thanks to @chadevg and @nickamerman + the Project Community crew for all their hard work and making the dream come true.

🪦 RIP January. Take your nonsense and GO.
✔️ Flu: knocked me out for weeks
✔️ Foot of snow + arctic temps: forced indoor pain cave sessions + bonus arm day (aka shoveling)
but…
✔️ Managed to survive one trail race and a road 10k with sky-high HR
✔️ Successfully completed another miserable Dry January.

On a more positive note, I’m excited to be racing for @wynrepublic_racing in 2026. I loved my time with F3- and they will always be family- but I’m excited for a new chapter and to make some new connections this season.

* April: Illinois Half Marathon
* May: Elsa Chicken Plucker Backyard Ultra

Great time at the Winter Night Trail Run! 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
So happy to run after being sick for 10 days and feeling out of shape.😮‍💨 “Easy” conditions compared to when I did this race in 2019 (at least a foot of snow) and 2021 (more snow). The woods and darkness always make for a fun experience.
