Better prints without the full cost of time? Have you tried Infill Combination? I like the results I’m getting with Petg, I started printing at .16 layer height with infill combination set to on. I have printed 2 chest piece, 2 thighs, 2 gauntlets and 2 helmets with this method now and the results of time in the garage vs how they are looking during the finishing process inspired me to make a video about it! In this video I talk about the pros and cons of doing so. You have to make sure your speeds are dialed in for a smaller layer height(.16mm), infill speeds have to be slower as well. So calculate that speed based on your doubled layer for infill. I did not show speeds on this video because everyone’s printer is calibrated differently. I use 3 walls with 8-10% infill and a 20% infill overlap because with the doubled layer infill it needs help to fuse to walls a little better. Let me know if you have any tips or questions! Happy Mando Monday! My Din Djarin V1 was printed and finished two years ago this month! A solid armor build is all about the process: scaling it right, minimizing print lines early, and putting in the labor during sanding and primer. Oh and weathering helps! Swipe through to see the progression from raw 3D prints to the finished pre weathering look. I used graphite powder on a grey sealer with a gloss clear coat, both duplicolor.
