Multiple truths can live in a space. Loneliness can reside alongside community. Gratitude can reside alongside fear. Love can reside alongside heartache. As my 33rd lap comes to a close, a lot of questions come up for me. Will I always feel this lonely? Am I behind? Am I enough? Will I ever feel seen? But all of these questions are just one side of my many truths. This is the fear that lives alongside my gratitude. I know all the answers to these questions, but that doesn’t mean they don’t come up for me. As I have grown in this lifetime, I see that I am just a big heart trying to navigate this human experience. The pain I encounter is but a reminder of the love that I continue to hold. Love lives through me and I live through it. Now, I can see where my truths live. They live in my authenticity. They live in my commitment to myself. They live in my community. They live in my pain. They live in my love. They live in my intuition. A knowing I can feel, and have yet to own. A knowing my bones know. A knowing my ancestors know. A knowing to live by.

So, will I always feel this lonely? No, I won’t, but it’s an ebb and flow.
Am I behind? I am right where I need to be.
Am I enough? More than.
Will I ever feel seen? I already do, in the people who love me.

Happy 100th birthday to my Grandma♥️ 100 years of life and wisdom. A feisty spirit with a loving heart. I’m so grateful for her strength. Because of her, I am here. She chose to love and create her own future after being interned with her family during WWII. Just a young girl who became a young woman in a space she shouldn’t have. I admire you, Grandma.
