One week ago, I competed in the inaugural Explore Kananaskis Half Marathon! It was a beautiful day and the course was even better. Working through a nagging hamstring issue, I was able to get er done in 1:38:49 and finish in 13th place overall!

We run to challenge ourselves, but we also run to protect the wild places we love.
We are beyond proud to announce that together with this amazing community, we raised over $10,000 for the Friends of Kananaskis!
A portion of every single registration, combined with individual donations, went directly to supporting the conservation and stewardship of these beautiful trails. By showing up and lacing up, you helped ensure the peaks above and the earth below remain a pristine sanctuary for generations to come.
Thank you to everyone who ran- as you helped us keep Kananaskis untamed, protected, and beautiful…now and forever.

We did it again—mountain edition! 🏔️👟

The route kept us on paved pathways with some solid inclines to work through, but the scenery made for a great backdrop the entire way. Wrapped it up with post-race pancakes and sausages.
