"Can Artificial Intelligence Design a chair?" was the question. A question that started 3 iterations (2024 - 2025 - 2026) of this @designmuseumgent collection explorer. A piece that grew out of data because the Design Museum, was closed and the collection needed to be shown. A question that makes people reflect of their role in creative processes. An installation that invites to be creative _with_ AI, but reminds you to play. And reminds you that creating is more that passively clicking the auto-suggested prompt.
"Lost In Diffusion"
has arrived in a place that couldn't have been imagined by AI. The Design Museum in Ghent is on the map, a fusion of old and new, of analog and digital, ready for the future. Coatlab getting ready for it's first performance tonight. Paired with #livecoding and #modular it will be part of 'portretten', a choreography that tells the stories of the very people on stage. Very honoured to provide the (experimental) music for one of the portraits by @kaosbeat

Kaspers artistieke werk is ontstaan uit de hacker-cultuur, waar technologie bevrijd wordt van haar beperkingen om nieuwe toepassingen mogelijk te maken. Die limieten zijn vaak artificieel en bepaald door politiek of industrie. Zijn werk, dat vaak onder de noemer hacktivism valt, stelt deze grenzen en de maatschappelijke impact in vraag. Recent is de alomtegenwoordigheid van kunstmatige intelligentie (AI) iets wat zijn artistiek proces beïnvloedt, waarbij AI niet langer alleen maar een instrument is, maar ook een inspiratiebron en medewerker.

I'm doing a live collaborative drawing project at @katapultt_kunst_en_meer June 6th 7th 8th.
I'm building a robot to give me a hand and we (the robot and me) will be collaborating with @conrad.willems in a live performance.

I will also be showing the "AI give me a hand" series
