Raison d’être (reworked)

To work with this girls, honored is an understatement. They have worked so hard in each rehearsal and put so much energy, physical and mental, into this piece.

This is my first work of original choreography that I get to present and perform. Thank you to Darla Johnson for your mentorship and support to make this happen. I would not be here without you. @dargal_atx

rai·son d’ê·tre
/ˌrāzôn ˈdetrə/ - the most important reason or purpose for someone or something’s existence.
As humans, we have always evolved over time. From changing our habits to physical characteristics, we all end up mutating and evolving. Why? What is the purpose of change? What is the purpose of being?

This piece has challenged me in the best ways. I could not be more grateful to have this opportunity to create and perform my work with the best people ever. Thank you Darla and ACC for everything 💜🤍 by @karagivenn
