In honor of what would've been our last day of The Forum, I wanted to share a little recap of the 3 days we spent remembering why we dance and why BHumn is such a special place. It's the community, the values, and the leaders who create the environment no matter what roof we are under. I'm so thankful to the dancers and educators in the room for reminding me of my why. So much wasn't caught on film because we were immersed and enveloped in the joy again. So much love. We'll be back next year!

/,rāzôn ‘detra/ - the most important reason or purpose for someone or something’s existence.
As humans, we have always evolved over time. From changing our habits to physical characteristics, we all end up mutating and evolving. Why? What is the purpose of change? What is the purpose of being?

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have performed this work alongside such a dedicated and inspiring cast. This piece challenged me to explore new physical and emotional spaces as a performer, and I’m honored to have been a part of bringing it to life on stage.

Kara has danced for many years of her life and has found comfort in movement and making movement. She finds peace, joy, pain, and love all at once within the art. After dancing for all of her young and teenage years, she has decided that dance is her true passion and is what she wants to pursue in life. Kara will be attending Texas State University in the fall of 2026 to pursue a BFA in Dance with a teachers certification on the side.
