Thank you @sundanceorg for including me in this year’s Producers Track. I’m currently on the plane to Wyoming and reflecting on the almost 4 years of hard but hilarious work @taliashea23 and I have put into @thepizzamovie

I got the news on my way out of my corporate day job, hopping in the car to drive home to my parent’s house in PA. After getting stuck behind a crash for hours, I pulled into a Wawa right after midnight. An employee asked me if I wanted chocolate cake. His coworkers had gotten it for him from the Walmart across the parking lot for his birthday and he sliced the first piece for a video but wasn’t hungry. I ate that chocolate cake in the Wawa parking lot blasting Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival. He didn’t know I had something to celebrate too! by @karagmiller

My Neighbor’s Yard was selected for a Staff Pick Premiere, and then Vimeo’s legal team rescinded the offer due to “political content.” Once we blew the whistle, Vimeo’s CEO offered to reverse the decision, which we declined. We didn’t believe reinstating our staff pick would reinstate the curation team’s ability to select political content moving forward within the growing media censorship crisis.

As the year wraps up, we’re grateful to the Staff Picks curation team for their attempts to appeal this decision, to @phoebe.jane.hart for making the sexiest insect puppet animation to date, and to @shortoftheweek for getting our documentary out! St. Joseph is premiering at home in New Jersey with @montclairfilm !!!!

We could not have made this movie without the incredible support of the @therussobrothers, @agbofilms, and @order_isda Italian American Filmmaker Forum. It’s a film about family and tradition and cured meats and I’m thrilled to finally be screening it in the same state where I was raised to appreciate all of these things.
