Washington, D.C., you were just what I needed!

I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to go to State Officer Summit this past week and make connections i’ll cherish forever.

“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing”~ Psalm 30:11

thank you RSD for 15 years of dance, friendships, and memories. dance has taught me more than technique, it has taught me how to carry myself, patience, and joy. after all the uncertainty of this past year, i realized that one thing was a constant— dance. the studio turned into a place where i could forget about doctors appointments, fear, and even pain and just let go. the movements were less than perfect, but they had meaning. thank you to Robin, Kirbee, and every other instructor that took the time to teach me, and thank you to my classmates who were so patient and helped me catch up. i am forever thankful to be an RSD alumni. by @karlee_567

Iowa FFA, there aren’t words to describe the amount of joy and gratitude i’m feeling right now. Thank you for being my “Why?” and thank you for giving me the chance to leave my Authentic Legacy. As always, Northwest is best!

Northwest District,

i’ve been looking back and thinking of what i could say instead of goodbye. and i don’t have much. but i do have this. this past year i have gotten the privilege to serve as the northwest district reporter. and when i first got elected i had to stop. close my eyes. think about where i started. take a breath. and then open them and look at where i was. who i was surrounded by. and i thought that a year of service sounded like so much time. now if you don’t think a year sounds like a lot of time, that’s 12 months. 52 weeks. 365 days. that’s about 525,600 minutes. now if you still don’t think a year is a long time, you’re right. it isn’t. but in this time, i’ve gotten to laugh, cry, pray, and meet so many amazing people that have each left their authentic legacy on me. in this time ive been changed. in this time ive learned to appreciate the small things. and in this time i have learned the importance of being still. so thank you for leaving your authentic legacy on my year of service. i sincerely hope that i left mine on you
