Happy 3rd birthday to Marmalade, @queso_ccfreedomservicedogs and the rest of the @freedomservicedogs sauce litter.
Marmalade has been an amazing addition to our family and bringing her home was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. by @karsonapollo23

Try telling that sweet face she doesn’t need each of her plushies. She brings me a different one every morning. #dogsofinstagram #labradorretriever #adoptorshopresponsibly #servicedogdropout by @karsonapollo23

Getting dogs to pose with statues is one of my favorite things. Also, just found out that it’s #sistersday so wanted to post the cutest pair of doggie sisters I know. by @karsonapollo23

We painted pottery for @brenielsen_ birthday and I obviously had to paint this doggy to look like Doug. by @karsonapollo23

Yesterday, this sweet princess Basil decided it was time to leave us. She had been starting acting strange and we took her to the vet on Sunday but they couldn’t find anything wrong. She passed peacefully in Joshua’s arms on Monday morning while he tried to find an appointment to get a second opinion. I hope that she got to be with her sister, Sage again. 2024 was without a doubt, the hardest year of my life. Losing my boy broke me and the wave just kept coming. I struggled to keep my head above the water but we made it through. I was struggling with the year ending because thinking about going into a year without Doug kills me, but I am going to keep going for him. Every day is still hard, but these girls serve as a constant reminder that things will get better and there is still light. Here’s to continuing to develop my human and dog relationships in the 2024. Marmalade got to meet the Grinch this week (Pike knew that meeting him once 2 years ago was enough 😂)
Thanks to @dogtopiaofdenvertechcenter for the best photo parties. I’m happy to have a dog that is willing to participate again. And another huge shout out to @freedomservicedogs for giving our family its newest member #grinch #dogsofinstagram by @karsonapollo23

After a few days to make sure her and Pike would get along, Marmalade has decided to become a permanent member of the Donaldson family. She’s a sweet, smart girl but decided the life of a service dog was not the right fit for her. I have been obsessed with this girl since she first came to board with us as a puppy 10 months ago and have loved watching her grow and learn. She has brought a light back into our home this week that had been dimmed these last few months. it feels like she waited until the timing was just right to be able come home with me. Thank you @freedomservicedogs for giving Pike a new little sister and Josh and I a new little bestie by @karsonapollo23
