Hank is home! He has a massive scar down his left cheek and neck (I'll spare you the graphic pics) and his back legs are super weak, sedation tends to knock them out every time. It's gonna be a huge adjustment to keep his new feeding schedule going but I'm gonna do whatever in my power to make sure he bounces back. It will never be the same, but it can be better. I love this guy more than I've ever loved another soul. I can't thank everyone enough for the outpouring of love and compassion we've recieved in this tough time. I wish I could say Hank is out of the woods but not by a longshot. There is a huge risk that i won't even talk about as it makes me tear up, but the surgery was the 1st hurdle and he kicked it's butt so let's just keep him strong and motivated. I'll post regular updates. love you all - - #goldenretrievers #goldensofig #dogsrule #goldenretrieverlove #retrieveroftheday #bestwoof #goldens #gloriousgoldens #goldenretrieverworld #goldensofinsta #retrieverstagram #instagolden #goldenretrieverpuppy #puppystagram #goldenretriever #weeklyfluff #goldenpuppy #dailypuppy #pupflix #goldenretrieversofinstagram #goldensofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #dogstagram #buzzfeedanimals #welovegoldens #cutestgoldens

Tomorrow at 7am, it's called a tie-back procedure to stop his laryngeal paralysis from progressing and ease his breathing. There are a lot of possible complications, some are too scary to mention. He's been with me through the most painful parts of my life. When i lost my best bro Milo in 2016, Hank was there to say goodbye at the hospice. After my 1st brain tumor surgery, Hank was there.. When i had yet another part of my skull removed to rewire some broken nerves, Hank was right there. He is my anchor to this world. All the people he's touched and motivated these past ten years prove just how amazing a service dog and soul he is. Truly one of a kind. Any good vibes you can spare, we'll take them these next few hours/days/weeks. Please Universe, let me keep my boy. - - #goldenretrievers #goldensofig #dogsrule #goldenretrieverlove #retrieveroftheday #bestwoof #goldens #gloriousgoldens #goldenretrieverworld #goldensofinsta #retrieverstagram #instagolden #goldenretrieverpuppy #puppystagram #goldenretriever #weeklyfluff #goldenpuppy #dailypuppy #pupflix #goldenretrieversofinstagram #goldensofinstagram #dogsofinstagram #dogstagram #buzzfeedanimals #welovegoldens #cutestgoldens
