By capturing multiple images of Jupiter over a few hours, I can create a time-lapse showcasing its rapid rotation. Using my telescope and the ZWO ASI 662MC camera, I take a series of videos at regular intervals, focusing on details like the planet’s cloud bands and the Great Red Spot. Later, I process and stack the frames to enhance clarity and align them for smooth transitions. The final time-lapse reveals Jupiter’s fast 10-hour rotation, giving a stunning view of its dynamic atmosphere in motion.

Traveled 40 miles in bone-chilling cold to witness the rare ISS transit across the Moon. Alone in the darkness with my telescope, I waited as the brilliant lunar glow obscured the ISS from view. Yet my camera silently captured the fleeting moment. Reviewing the footage later, I discovered an extraordinary rare, one of my finest. An unforgettable experience under crystal clear skies.

Over 77 minutes in freezing temperatures, I captured Jupiter’s rotation using a 130/650 Newtonian, 2.5x Barlow lens, and ASI 662MC camera. With 37 two-minute exposures and manual hand tracking, this data reflects over 10 hours of dedicated effort

My first ever capture and processing of the Elephant Trunk Nebula 🐘✨

Captured with the Seestar @seestar.official S30 Pro 253 × 30s subs, giving a total integration time of 2h 11m.

This was my first proper attempt at processing a nebula with the S30 Pro, and I’m genuinely so proud of how the final image turned out. Bringing out the faint structure while keeping the colours and details natural was a really fun learning process.

🌌The Elephant Trunk is a massive pillar of gas and dust stretching over 20 light-years in length. What looks like a small structure in the image is actually an enormous stellar nursery, where new stars are being born.

📷 Telescope: Seestar S30 Pro
⏱️ Integration: 2h 11m
🖼️ Frames: 253 × 30s
🌌 Target: Elephant Trunk Nebula (IC 1396)
💻 Processing: Stacked using seestar application, stretching, noise reduction & final adjustments using PS

Still amazed at what this little telescope can pull out of the night sky. 🔭✨

Watch till the end to see the beautiful eclipse timelapse
From setup to maximum 🌑☀️
A little behind the scenes of how I captured the 93% solar eclipse in Ireland setting up the gear, putting on the solar filter, telescope tracking the Sun, and finally. the eclipse itself.
Special thanks to @kaan.astro for making this timelapse smooth

Maximum eclipse in Dublin, around 94% of the Sun was covered by the Moon, leaving only a small crescent of sunlight visible. This was the deepest solar eclipse visible from Ireland this century so far, and a similar eclipse won’t be seen from Ireland again until 2090. Pretty special to have captured the whole progression from the first contact to the final crescent.
Swipe through to see the eclipse phase by phase and watch the whole process if you missed it!

Comment your favourite phase 🥰

The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) captured using the Seestar S30 Pro @seestar.official EQ mode, under light-polluted Dublin skies 🌌

Captured over 320 subs to bring out the spiral structure and faint details of this galaxy. Huge thanks to my friend @kaan.astro for stacking and processing the data in PixInsight the result turned out amazing.
